Pepper (Piper nigrum L.) is a high economic value estate crop. Cuttings play animportant role in seedling pepper plants because it is more effective, an effort to overcome the failure in root growth in cuttings is to provide growth regulators. In its use, the effectiveness of ZPT is influenced by the type and concentration of ZPT used. This study aims to determine the effect of the type and concentration of natural PGR on the propagation of pepper by cuttings and the interaction of the two factors. This research was conducted in the experimental garden of theFaculty of Agriculture, Teuku Umar Meulaboh University from January to March 2020. The material used was cuttings of pepper plants obtained from pepper growers, shallots, bamboo shoots, banana weevil, alluvial soil, manure, polybags, hooded plastic and raffia. The tools used are: hoes, scissors, knives, gauges, fansticks, cameras, stationery and cameras. The design used in this study was a 3 x 6 factorial randomized block design (RBD) with three replications. Natural ZPT type factor (J) consists of three levels, namely: J1 = Shallot Extract, J2 = Bamboo Shoot Extract, J3 = Banana Weevil Extract. Variables observed were percentage of growth, number of shoots, number of leaves, root length, root wet weight and root dry weight. F test results on the analysis of variance showed that the type of natural PGR had a very significanteffect on root length. Significantly affect the growth potential, the number of shoots 45, 60 and 75 HST, the number of leaves 45, 60 and 75 HST, root wet weight and root dry weight. But no significant effect on the number of buds 30 HST and leaf number 30 HST. Keywords: Pepper cuttings, Type of ZPT, Concentration.
This study aims to determine the response of several local rice varieties to the provision of palm oil bare ash on peatlands. This study was arranged in a Split Plot Design Split plot with 2 treatments and 4 groups, consisting of 4 local rice varieties, namely: P 1 = Cut Krusek, P 2 = Ramos Mirah, P3= Sambe and P4= Bo Sireutoh. Ameliorant factors in palm oil ash consist of: A 0 = Control, A 1 = 15 tons ha-1. The results showed that the varieties had a very significant effect on plant height at 45 HST, number of tillers per clump age 45 HST, number of productive tillers per clump, significantly affected plant age 60 HST, had no significant effect on plant height at 30 HST, number of tillers per family age 30 and 60 HST, rice grain and grain are empty. The Bo Sireutoh variety (P 4 ) has the ability to increase the rate of growth of the number of tillers per clump, the number of productive tillers per clump and the weight of rice paddy per plot. Whereas the Cut Krusek variety (P 1 ) has the ability to increase the rate of growth at the plant height level and the percentage of empty grain. The treatment of oil palm ash ameliorant on peatland is able to increase growth at plant height, rice grain percentage and percentage of empty grain, but it does not significantly affect the number of productive tillers per clum. This study aims to determine the effect of eggshell powder application and manure on the growth and production of watermelon on meulaboh peat soils and whether these two factors were real or not. This research was conducted in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Teuku Umar Meulaboh University from December 2018 to April 2019. This study used a 4 x 4 factorial randomized block design with three replications. The egg shell powder (C) factor consisted of four the levels are: C0 = control, C1 = 300 kg / ha (2.25 g / polybag), C2 = 400kg / ha (3 / polybag), C3 = 500 kg / ha (3.75 g / polybag) (Syam et al., 2014). Factor manure (K) consists of four levels, namely: K0 = control, K1 = 50 tons / ha (0.375 kg / polybag), K2 = 100 tons / ha (0.75 kg / polybag), K3 = 150 tons / ha (1,125 kg / polybag) Observation parameters include; plant length (cm), number of leaves, age of flowering, fruit length (cm), diameter of fruit (cm), weight of fruit (kg), production of tons / ha. The results showed that the dose of eggshell had a significant effect on increasing soil pH, a very significant effect on the length of the 15 HST plant but had no significant effect on the length of the 30 HST plant, the number of leaves 15 and 30 HST, and the flowering phase. Significantly affect the fruit length and fruit diameter. However, no significant effect on fruit weight and tons / ha production. Manure has a very significant effect on the length of watermelon plants aged 15 HST. However, the effect was not significant at the age of 30 HST. Significant effect on the number of watermelon leaves aged 15 HST, however, very significant effect on the age of 30 HST. Very significant influence on watermelon flowers and very significant effect on fruit length, diameter, fruit weight, and tons / ha production. There was no interaction between eggshell and manure from all treatments. Keywords: Eggshell Powder, Manure, Watermelon, Peatland
This study aims to determine the effect of tillage systems on the growth and production of corn. Materials and tools used in this study were: Corn seeds used in this study were Bonanza F1 Varieties, the basic fertilizer used was NPK BASF (15:15:15) 300 kg ha-1. The tools that will be used in this study are Scales, Caliper, Machetes, Hoes, Knives, Meters, Gembor, Buckets, Hend spayers and stationery. The experimental design used in this study was a non factorial randomized block design (RBD) 3 treatments with 3 replications. The factors studied include: Soil processing system (T) which consists of 3 (three) levels including: No Soil (T1), Minimum Soil (T2) and Maximum Soil (T3). Observation parameters observed were plant height, stem diameter, ear length, ear diameter, ear weight, ear weight per plot and ear weight per ha. The results showed that the tillage system had a very significant effect on plant height at the age of 21 HST, weight of crop cobs, weight of cobs per plot and weight of cobs per hectare. Significantly affected plant height at ages 28, 35 and 42 HST, stem diameter age 21.28, 35 and 42, but had no significant effect on cob length and ear diameter. The best treatment is found in the maximum tillage system (T3). Keywords: tillage system, corn, Bonanza F1 variety
