The pandemic and the announced quarantine have made adjustments to the bachelors and master degree student education in almost all universities around the world. The transition to the online education using modern Internet technologies has been made, that has led to certain challenges in higher education system. The purpose of the article is the analysis of COVID-19 impact on Ukrainian higher education. The following research methods were used in the article: empirical methods, methods of theoretical analysis, questionnaire, and interview. In the article the approaches to the online education in universities in Ukraine have been analyzed. The results of the article have a few significant implications for science and practice of online education and its perspectives for Ukrainian higher education system. Prospects of online education of students have been offered during COVID-19. The main recommendations are the following: to organize training courses of online education methods for lecturers; to organize in-depth training courses of online education methods for lecturers of non-pedagogical specialties (including training in interactive online teaching methods, formation of an individual learning trajectory, online multidisciplinary courses development); university's management should provide constant monitoring of the satisfaction of students and lecturers of the online education organization for the accumulation of statistical data in the dynamics.
The article analyses the social approach to the concept of ‘green’ economy. The key features of sociology of the ‘green’ economy have been presented. The basic spheres, in which it is possible to trace the relationship between ‘green’ economy and social being, have been traced. The impact of the ‘green’ development on education, health, employment and population wellbeing has been explored. The main promising directions of enhancing the positive influence of the development of ‘green’ economy on the social sphere have been proposed.
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development stipulates the need for economical use of natural resources and the introduction of green technologies to ensure the harmonious reconciliation of economic, social, and environmental development. However, the problems associated with the definition of the country’s sustainable development in conditions of global threats are far from being solved and require further theoretical efforts. So,the purpose of the article is to form a methodological approach to define the country’s sustainable development in conditions of global threats. The methods used in this study are the comparative and statistical analysis , the systematic approach – in creating the mechanism of ensuring the sustainable development of the world in conditions of global challenges. The analysis results show that the methodological approach allows assessing the country’s sustainable development considering global threats, which, in turn, policy adjustments to strengthen sustainable development in global crises. This study concludes that globalization’s process causes various changes; the positive or negative vector of these changes largely depends on the level of sustainable development of the country and the country’s position in the world economy. The higher the country’s sustainable development indicators, the more positive effects of globalization the state receives.
The study of various aspects of social economy is stipulated by the fact that the focus of any economic system is the human being as the main object and the result of economic activity. The purpose of this paper is to cluster of social economies of the countries throughout the world with distinguishing the models of social economy for transition economies under globalization conditions. The results of research represent four clusters of social economy that prove validity of classification of 4 classic models of social economy: liberal, Scandinavian, corporatist, and Mediterranean. While the most developed countries have effective models of social economy, there is still no clear concept of social development for transition economies. This paper deals with social economy clustering of different countries with the view to determinate the place of transition economies in social metrics of global economy. Our study is limited to the number of countries – 40 countries of the world, mainly European, and timeframes – 2015 and 2016. The obtained results could be taken into account by governments when developing and implementing new social policy for transition economies considering the experience of countries with classical social models. The authors propose the main practical tools for transition social model. It is proposed to distinguish one more model of social economy – the transition model, typical for transition economies that implement social reforms and has some common features.
The war conflict in the East Ukraine impacts the geopolitical security and stability of Europe and other countries of the world. So, there are the global effects of the war conflict in Ukraine. And the instability in Ukraine has its social consequences that influences the European development. The aim of the article is to identify and elaborate social effects of the war conflict in Ukraine and to get understanding of its influence on European stability, on position of Ukraine on European arena. The article has been prepared by using such methods as: analysis of Ukrainian and European research papers, comparison and generalization of the facts about war conflict in Ukraine. In the article social consequences of the war conflict in Ukraine, such as migration, unemployment, crime growth, decreasing of population and others have been studied. It has been described that social dimension of the war conflict in Ukraine has its influence on European stability and geopolitical situation, especially Ukrainian migration. At the end of the article the authors present the conclusions and the mechanism for solving the war conflict situation in Ukraine. Also, Ukraine needs an integrated approach in order to solve all economic and social problems in the country. Only integrated approach will allow to use available Ukrainian resources and advanced European experience to provide economic and social stability of the country.
