The goal of this paper is to evaluate the state-of-the-art and potential of interactions between universities and firms, using the Zlinsky region as a case study. Practically, attitudes of firms located in the Zlinsky region towards their cooperation with the Tomas Bata University in Zlin are surveyed on the basis of questionnaire research. Theoretically, this paper is embedded in the debate on changing missions of universities. The findings point at a high share of firms which declare some form of interactions with the Tomas Bata University in Zlin. However, considering human and social capital, these interactions are frequent only in rather less progressive forms of interactions. More progressive interactions between firms and academics are rather scarce. Furthermore, the findings show a high potential to stimulate more progressive forms of interactions between firms and the Tomas Bata University in Zlin related to human and social capital. It is noteworthy that human and social capital of the university is not perceived as a barrier by the firms in our sample. On this basis, the development of support measures for creating links between academics from the Tomas Bata University in Zlin and firms in the Zlinsky region is recommended.
The purpose of this paper is to evaluate tender prices of chosen beverages according to public procurement based on secondary data analysis. The empirical results of analysis (t-test and F-test) show that average annual prices of these beverages are different and collected data are not included in the same sample. Tender prices are different in each year of observed years, although are based on public tender. Important evidence is that for the public tenders in the abroad is obligatory use of the Czech public procurement law. According to this act the base evaluation criterion is the lowest offered price. Data were collected during the years 2005–2009. This study deals with empirical approach, variability of prices of chosen beverages based on public tenders between the Czech Republic (Ministry of Defence) and local suppliers in Kosovo. Results show low variability of prices, which are based on public tender and legal approach, regulated public procurement. The research conclusion is the fact, that tender prices for piece of non-alcoholic beverage are less than 10 % from annual mean (pcs./CZK) of tendered prices.
The objective of this paper is to generate insights into the process of establishing examination of failures in additional documents of specifications of public tenders using archival data. The study is conducted in the public sector procurement practice of public sector organizations – organizational units in the Czech Republic. Overall, the study adds a piece to the mosaic of preparation of public procurement specifications and additional documents arranged in line with the guidance of public procurement in years 2007–2010. The data set contained failures in specifications and additional documents processed in fifteen organizational units. The key research question is, if the failures developed in processing specifications and additional documents depend on obligatory guidance used in observed years. According to the findings this expectation has not been rejected (α = 0.05). The other expectation, saying that in observed years failures appear in 5 % of processed documents, has been rejected (α = 0.05).

Jednotlivé texty autorů z Česka, Slovenska a Polska reprezentují širokou paletu přístupů ke zkoumání procesů a jevů v území a nabízejí rozličné metodické přístupy k jejich analýze a způsobu řešení. Popřejme si tedy navzájem spoustu dalších plodných počinů, zajímavých projektů a chuti prezentovat své ...
