Selecting the right suppliers can significantly reduce the cost of purchasing and Increase the competitiveness of the organization. Decision making and supplier selection is basically a multi-criteria issue. Nevertheless, some of these criteria might be in conflict with each other. This is one of strategic importance to most organizations. The nature of such decisions is usually complex and not structured.
