This paper presents the design and safety assessment of the H2Ocean: a zero-emission compressed hydrogen fuel cell propelled dinner cruise vessel for Vancouver Harbour. The design of the H2Ocean is shown, including general arrangement, resistance and powering, hydrogen fuel system, electrical system, and calculation of the extent of hazardous zones. The results of the HAZID workshop are summarized.
