This research is a field research by going directly to the community as informants to obtain data. The data were obtained through distributing questionnaires and interviews with young people in the Kobe District, Japan. These problems are summarized in a study entitled: Demographic Transition in Japanese Society One Socio-Cultural Study. In the data collection stage, a questionnaire method and Interview techniques were used. Meanwhile, the method used to analyze the data was descriptive method. In this study, the results of data analysis were presented using informal methods, namely explaining data by describing all elements descriptively. Factors causing the demographic transition experienced by Japanese society at this time include Japan's involvement in the World War, geographic contours that are prone to disasters, high cost of living, and the presence of sophisticated robots that are the choice of entertainers in Japanese society. From the problems that have occurred, there have been several efforts made by the Japanese Government, including announcing a special allowance program for families who want to give birth to more than three children. A working mother can use quite long leave both before and after giving birth.
This research, entitled “Translations technique and methods of artistic terms on manga Nodame Cantabile Volume 1-25 by Tomoko Ninomiya”, used the theory of translation techniques by Molina and Albir (2002), theory of translation methodes by Newmark (1988) and componential analysis by Nida and Taber (1969). Based on analysis result, there are 126 data of artistic terms. According to 18 translation techniques by Molina and Albir, 12 techniques were used for translate artistic terms on manga Nodame Cantabile Volume 1-25 by Tomoko Ninomiya, namely adaptation, amplification, borrowing, description, discursive creatios, generalization, linguistics amplification, linguistics compression, literal translation, calque, established equivalent, and transpotition. The data was also analyzed to determine the method of translation. Translation method that was used in this research is literal translation by Newmark (1988). From 126 data, there are 10 data caused the shift of meaning of artistic terms that analyzed by the theory of Nida and Taber (1969).
This research is entitled, "The Effect of Demographic Transition on the Needs for Foreign Workers in Japan". The data from this study are from the distribution of questionnaires to students at Kobe Women's University-Japan and the results of interviews from a number of informants in Japan. From the distribution of the questionnaire, there were 70 data related to this research. Specifically, the purpose of this study is to answer the Japanese public's response to the need for foreign workers in Japan and the type of work that dominates foreign workers in Japan. This research will be studied from a socio-cultural point of view. The method used is an open questionnaire and a closed questionnaire with an advanced technique, namely interviews. The results of this study are that of the 70 informants, 60 people responded that Japan was being dominated by foreign workers and 10 more people said they did not agree with the statement. Regarding the dominant occupations carried out by foreign workers in Japan, among others, health workers for the elderly, manufacturing, shopkeepers who are open until late, and restaurants. The point is that it is a job field that is rarely liked by Japanese people and for foreign workers who do not use Japanese much while working. However, foreign workers who want to work in Japan should understand the culture and customs of Japanese society.
The title of this research is “Gender Identity disorder at character Yuuta Aoki in manga Bokura no Hentai by Fumi Fumiko”. The aims of this research are to described GID characteristic, the reasons of GID in character yuuta, and any efforts the character do to deal with his own GID in manga Bokura no Hentai by Fumi Fumiko. The theories that have been used are Wellek and Warren’s literature and psychology theory (2016), Sigmund Freud’spsychoanalytic theory (2016), First’s gender identity disorder theory (1994), and Marcel Danesi’s semiotic theory (2011). From the results, it is showed that character Yuuta Aoki is a boy which want to be a girl since he was 4 years old driven by his GID condition. GID characteristic in Yuuta was identified in 3 dimensions 1). Physiology, which is dress himself as a girl and use cosmetics; 2). Psychology, which is declaring himself as a girl, fall in love with boy, irritated to have a male body, imagining himself as girl, and act like a girl; 3). Sociology, which is often got bullied by his friends and usually hanging out with his female friends. The reasons behind Yuuta’s GID condition were driven by mimicking and his mother let him to dress himself as a girl. His efforts to deal with his GID were by trying to act like a boy again and consulting with doctor.
