Then ttus variational principle is applied to the folded shell structure. By means of double series, the approximate anaO'tieal solutions for statics anti dvnamic~ umh'r common houndar)' conditions are obtained. The comparison of our results ~cith FEM computations and experiments shows the analytical soluHons have good convergem'e and their ,ccuracv is quite sati.~factory.
