Covid-19 changes human habits, especially the learning process. Teaching and learning activities that are usually carried out offline now must be online. The research was motivated by the students' assumptions about mathematics which were considered difficult. Students feel overwhelmed when studying mathematics. When faced with math problems, students often don't have the confidence to solve it. The purpose of this study is to determine the increase in self-confidence of students who get online learning using the CPA approach during the Covid-19 pandemic, both in terms of overall, and Initial Mathematical Ability (IMA). This research is a quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent control group design on Mathematics subjects on the topic of data collection and presentation in fifth-grade elementary schools. The sample consisted of 56 students at one of the elementary schools in Central Jakarta, Indonesia The research instrument used a self-confidence attitude scale given at the beginning before and after the treatment ended. The learning process is carried out online through the Whatsapp Group, Youtube, and Google Form. The research findings showed that online learning using the CPA approach can increase students' self-confidence better than conventional learning, both as a whole, and IMA. Thus, the CPA approach can be used as an alternative to increasing student self-confidence during the Covid-19 pandemic
Reading habits in Indonesian society have not developed well. In addition, the learning is carried out at this time has not been able to develop reading skills effectively and efficiently. This study aimed to analyze the mindset relationship to reading literacy ability in fifth grade elementary school students. This type of research is a correlation. The design of this research is quantitative with correlational research methods. The population in this study were all fifth-grade elementary school students, totaling 79 students. The research sample amounted to 55 students. Data collection methods used are non-test and test methods. The instrument used in collecting data are a questionnaire and reading literacy test. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive quantitative, and statistical inferential. The study results are the results of the testing hypothesis I, obtained rcount 0.757 > rtable 0.266 then H0 is rejected, which means it is significant. Hypothesis II test results, rcount 0.434 > rtable 0.266 then H0 is rejected, which means it is significant. So that the Growth mindset has a relationship with the reading literacy ability of fifth-grade elementary school students. A fixed mindset also positively impacts students' reading literacy skills. It was concluded that there was a significant correlation between mindset and reading literacy ability.
ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is (1) To find out how the needs of teachers and students in learning math using E-learning based on Problem Based Learning in SMP Negeri 2 Denpasar, (2) to find out the factors of obstacle in needs planning efforts of mathematics learning using E-learning based on Problem Based Learning and (3) to find out supporting factors in needs planning efforts of mathematics learning using E-learning based on Problem Based Learning. This research is qualitative research. The subjects in the study mathematics teachers and students in grades IX 1 and IX.2. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The results of this study are (1) 100% of teachers fall into the category of very need and, 39.69% of students are in the category of very need, and 60.31% of students are in the category of need, (2) The obstacle factor experienced by teachers is a less stable network and licensing needs from the leadership. As for learners there are no obstacle factors experienced and (3) There are several supporting factors from teachers and students, namely the availability of devices such as mobile phones, laptops and computers and very adequate internet access. Keyword : Mathematic education; e-learning; Problem based learning ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana kebutuhan guru dan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran matematika menggunakan E-learning berbasis Problem Based Learning di SMP Negeri 2 Denpasar, (2) untuk mengetahui faktor kendala dalam upaya perencanaan pemenuhan kebutuhan pembelajaran matematika menggunakan E-learning berbasis Problem Based Learning dan (3) untuk mengetahui faktor pendukung dalam upaya perencanaan kebutuhan pembelajaran matematika menggunakan E-learning berbasis Problem Based Learning.
