In patients with clinically negative axillary nodes, additional study is warranted to assess whether ARM may be used to spare the lymphatics from the arm. In the presence of extensive nodal disease, this technique may identify metastatic blue nodes, which demonstrates that there is not reliable separation of arm and breast lymphatic pathways.

NAC involvement can be predicted by MRI and intraoperative pathology of ND/SD. Local recurrences after NAC sparing mastectomy almost invariably develop in the same quadrant where the primary tumor was located and in highly proliferative tumors.

Gabapentin appears to be effective for the treatment of hot flushes with a favorable effect on quality of sleep. Vitamin E has only marginal effect on vasomotor symptoms.
