Information retrieval (IR) is the activity of obtaining information resources that are relevant to an information need from a collection of those resources. Searches can be based on full-text or other content-based indexing. Information retrieval is the science of searching for information in a document, searching for documents themselves, and also searching for the metadata that describes data, and for databases of texts, images or sounds.Automated information retrieval systems are used to reduce what has been called information overload. An IR system is a software system that provides access to books, journals and other documents; stores and manages those documents. Web Search Engines are the most visible IR applications. It is a classification technique based on Bayes’ Theorem with an assumption of independence among predictors. In simple terms, a Naive Bayes classifier assumes that the presence of a particular feature in a class is unrelated to the presence of any other feature. For example, a fruit may be considered to be an apple if it is red, round, and about 3 inches in diameter. Even if these features depend on each other or upon the existence of the other features, all of these properties independently contribute to the probability that this fruit is an apple and that is why it is known as ‘Naive’.Naive Bayes model is easy to build and particularly useful for very large data sets. Along with simplicity, Naive Bayes is known to outperform even highly sophisticated classification methods.
Students often face problem while collecting notes and it interrupts their learning process. Our application will provide a platform for the students where they can come together for collaborative learning. Students can share their notes/materials (both handwritten and in document - PPT, PDF, DOC, etc. format) which students from any branch or semester can access for free. In our platform users can upload their notes giving a short description and some keywords related to the subject, branch and semester. Other users can search the notes using those keywords which will provide them filtered results. Each user will have an account through they will access the application. The platform is planned to be a LEARN | SHARE | EDUCATE platform which aims to increase effectiveness and conceptual clarity of students.
Electronic counters are of two types: Asynchronous and Synchronous. Here we will work on Synchronous counter. Synchronous counters use a common clock and logic between the flip-flops to encode the count sequence. Asynchronous counters are simpler because they do not require logic gates, but any latency will scale linearly with respect to the number of bits. Synchronous architecture is preferable. If the application is not sensitive to false errors produced by latency, however, an asynchronous counter alone or with overclocking (in the event that cumulative latency is greater than the cycle time) may be feasible. Alternatively, filters, such as a strobing circuit, can be used to remove erroneous outputs caused by latency from the output.
Data Analytics plays an important role in the decision-making process. Insights from such pattern analysis offer vast benefits, including increased revenue, cost cutting, and improved competitive advantage. However, the hidden patterns of the frequent item-sets become more time consuming to be mined when the amount of data increases over the time. Moreover, significant memory consumption is needed in mining the hidden patterns of the frequent item-sets due to a heavy computation by the algorithm. Therefore, an efficient algorithm is required to mine the hidden patterns of the frequent item-sets within a shorter run time and with less memory consumption while the volume of data increases over the time period.
Global business scenario of the various green initiatives, waste recycling creates the highest positive impact on the environment. Of all the different types of waste, electronic waste has the characteristics of the fastest growing segment of waste, most valuable due to its basic composition, very hazardous if not handled carefully. However, the sector is very new with only a few corporate players in India and globally. Most of the electronic waste management sector is currently handled by the unorganized/informal sector in India. However due to lack of skills, knowledge, awareness, etc., the sector has remained highly labor intensive, environmentally unfriendly and unhealthy. If done in the right way, and in an organized fashion, e-waste management can become a dominant economic sector. As per various numbers published by various research agencies, about 20 to 50 million tons of e-waste are generated worldwide every year. E-waste comprises more than 5 % of all solid waste generated and the volume is expected to increase at a rate of 300% per annum in developing countries.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
