Migration as a phenomenon is present in the whole history of mankind. It is an unexplained urge for people to change, which is expressed in the search for security, happiness and opportunity for development. At different times, migration plays an important role in the lives of individuals, countries and continents, and becomes an important factor in the development of civilizations, their destiny and security. Politics plays a key role in the development and construction of migratory behavior in society. As a factor, it is related to the security of people, their interests in which their rights should not be violated or they should not be harmed in any way. Political instability and attitude to democratic potential are emerging as a reason for the emergence of migratory attitudes. Nowadays this factor is shifted from the socio-economic one.Migration factors are predominant in terms of economic divergences in some countries. The state of the economy in the countries plays a leading role. A lower standard of living will continue to be a supporting factor for external migration. In many countries there are negative trends in employment, economic activity and unemployment. There are a number of social problems related to the reduction of the living potential of the population. Poverty in one country strongly determines the motivation of the people. The inability of people to lead a normal and fulfilling life leads them to start looking for a better standard abroad. In today's globalization, migration is global. As a socio-economic phenomenon it is associated with the dynamics and mechanical movement of the population in the countries and regions. The consequences of migration processes can affect the demographic development of the population, the economy and other aspects of the life of the population. Their consequences are generally negative, although there are those that can also be considered positive.
The economic regional cohesion between the regional centers in Bulgaria is of utmost importance given the differences in the economic activity of the population and the business on the one hand. On the other hand, disproportion in terms of factors of production (resources, labor force, technical and transport infrastructure, innovation) and, above all, their unequal position in quantitative and qualitative terms. This publication aims to highlight the major issues that these disproportions are due to, and to provide recommendations for their overcoming in the future. The main flight problems relate mainly to the development of large cities. This determines Sofia as the leader in the highest share of the gross domestic product of the country. In addition, the development of the top ten big cities in Bulgaria creates conditions for the strengthening of the centerperiphery problems. Inter-regional and intra-regional inequalities and differences can also be highlighted in this connection.
The assessment of ecosystem assets is one of the most important method of developing the ecosystem at all. It gives the opportunity to calculate the services which must be done by humans making assets regenerate by itself. The methods for assessing the ecosystem services include biophysical methods, socio-cultural methods, economic methods and expert-based quantification. All of these methods should be used together. This is because of the relationship with the specific feature of the asset and the ecosystem services that are used for producing it. The assessment of the water can be presented like natural water /ocean, lakes, under earth, rivers etc./ and water like a resource /material for production of products/. Assessing the ecosystems related with water is complex concept. They are changing by different factors both human and natural. The assessing process of ecosystem assets in monetary term lies on the accounting methodology. Therefore, some assets related with water can be calculated and others not.
More and more people are living in the European Union beyond its borders. Some of them are looking for a better future. Others are chased by military action, political persecution, or natural disaster. The increasing migratory pressure creates a need to redirect significant financial and organizational resources to address the situation. The lack of prospect of lasting stability in the source countries determines the continuation of this trend, with limited capacity of institutions to secure the processes. In this regard, the expected increase in migrants in our territory creates direct risks for a humanitarian crisis. Regarding legal immigration, at a political level, Europe can speak of a generally positive attitude, leading also to a number of concrete initiatives. There are laws that allow immigrants, after working for at least a year, to come together with their families. Persons who have been legally resident for five years in the EU may be granted a long-stay permit, which allows them to pass on a higher level of qualification or to work in another Member State of the Union. Due to the economic crisis, the situation of immigrants in Europe at this time is particularly difficult. One of the most frequent reasons for immigration is the demand for employment, but as employers usually dismiss first employees and workers, the most severe consequences of the economic downturn are felt by immigrants, especially in the countries hardest hit by the crisis.
