The article presents a functional structure of a software complex for control of electric steelmaking processes in the arc furnace that allows on the basis of a mathematical model to determine the rational electric mode of the arc furnace, as well as the values of productivity and specific consumption of electricity. The software complex allows to increase the energy efficiency of the process, the reliability of the servicing mechanisms and the durability of the lining of the heat unit, as well as the software package is designed to safely conduct the electric steelmaking process, and to enhance the professional level of management and production personnel. While developing the software complex methods of mathematical modeling, database design tools, knowledge and technologies of automated information systems by types of collateral were used. The application of the software package at the metallurgical enterprises will allow to conduct resource and energy-saving management of the electric arc furnace process in an arc furnace.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
