When conventional resonant converter is applied in high output voltage power supply, the ratio of the transformer is usually very large, and the voltage stress on the filtering components is too high. In order to solve this problem, a symmetric multiplier is applied in the conventional resonant converter and composes the resonant converter with multiplier. The performance of the symmetric multiplier is analyzed. The topologies of the three resonant converters with multiplier are presented. The characteristics of them are analyzed and compared by the method of fundamental frequency analysis.
Microstrip resonator with it's high Q character is always known unsuitable for broadband designing .Efforts were made to use it in broadband equalizer designing .In this paper, a improved branch microstrip resonator with a thin-film resistor loading is analyzed, and a good matched broad-band microstrip equalizer using this structure is developed. The influence of the the resistor on the microstrip resonator is investigated through numerical simulations and experiments. By loading a thin-film resistor in the branch resonator, an adjustable quality factor and attenuation are achieved. High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) is used to show them. According to the different value of the thin-film resistor, four different resistor loaded branch resonator are used to realize a 12GHz broadband microstrip equalizer which matchs the TWTA's output curve respectively. The fabricated figure, the simulation results and the measured data are also given. The simulations and experiments results show that this structure is quite suitable to construct broadband microstrip equalizer.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
