Background. Luka bakar adalah luka pada kulit atau jaringan organik lain yang dapat disebabkan oleh panas, radiasi, listrik, dan kontak dengan bahan-bahan kimia. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan gambaran histopatologi luka bakar derajat 2 dengan pemberian epidermal growth factor (EGF) spray dengan silver sulfadiazine (SSD) pada hewan coba. Methods. Desain penelitian ialah studi eksperimental dengan pendekatan post test only with control grup design. Sebanyak 27 ekor healthy male Wistar rats digunakan dalam studi ini (berat 200-300 gram; usia 8 minggu). Hewan coba dikelompokkan menjadi 3 kelompok yakni kelompok control (K), kelompok perlakuan EGF spray (EGF) dan kelompok perlakuan silver sulfadiazine 1% (SSD). Pemeriksaan histopatologi luka dilakukan dengan pewarnaan hematoxylin-eosin. penilaian histopatologi dengan kriteria Burkitt. Results. Rata-rata pengukuran ketebalan epidermis permukaan luka bakar pada kelompok perlakuan baik SSD maupun EGF memperlihatkan epidermis yang lebih tebal dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. kepadatan leukosit pada jaringan granulasi kelompok perlakuan SSD maupun EGF lebih rendah dibandingkan kelompok kontrol, yaitu 107,0 dan 85. Conclusion. Pemberian EGF spray menunjukkan gambaran histopatologi yang lebih baik dibandingkan kelompok kontrol dan kelompok SSD pada luka bakar derajat 2, terutama pada proses regeneratif sel, penekanan inflamasi, dan perbaikan epitelial.
Rapid developments in Information and Communication Technology have revealed some opportunities for supporting a complete product lifecycle of the fabrication facilities, particularly for maintenance purposes. The complexity of mechanical procedures, as well as their perceptions, has challenged engineers to create more effective and interactive maintenance manual. Therefore, this paper proposes an advanced electronic maintenance manual with the interactive 3D visualization by using the latest Web3D technologies. The advantage of this method is the visual and three-dimensional explanations delivered in the maintenance manuals. This method will extend the traditional work instructions into an interactive electronic maintenance manual. The standard module which involves Cortona3D software is processed by preparation of 3D CAD data format from fabrication facilities. Then this process continues with the addition 3D animation with related texts through the maintenance operations and converting the modified 3D data into VRML format which enables accessible through the Web. The result is an interactive and on-demand electronic maintenance manual which allows users to communicate maintenance problems. The assessment concludes that the 3D maintenance manual will improve an intuitive interface and information retention, encourage visual knowledge and minimize ambiguity.
