Papaya fruit extract acts as a sunscreen and antityrosinase because it contains phenolic compounds such as flavonoids. The direct use of the extract on the skin is very impractical and therefore needs pharmaceutical preparation, specifically the cream. This study determines the effect of the ethanol extract concentration of papaya on the oil cream base in water and the physical properties of the preparation. Papaya fruit extracts were obtained by the maceration method using 70% ethanol and formulated as oiltype cream preparations. This involved a variation of extract concentration of 1%, 3%, and 5% using a triethanolamine emulgator. The cream preparations were evaluated for physical properties, including determination of pH, spreadability, adhesion, viscosity, and stability testing. The results showed that increasing the concentration of papaya extract affects physical properties, such as reducing the pH value (p <0.05), viscosity (p <0.05), and adhesion (p <0.05), as well as increasing the value of dispersion (p <0.05). Physical stability of the papaya extract cream preparation did not occur at 1% and 3% extract concentrations. However, there was a separation at 3% extract concentration marked by creaming.
Wound is a condition in which the skin tissue is damaged and some of the skin tissue is lost. Catfish skin is one part that contains collagen.One of the ingredients that has been widely used to maintain a moist atmosphere in wounds is collagen This study aimed to determine the effect of African catfish skin extract cream to determine the effectiveness of collagen from catfish skin extract in accelerating the healing process of cuts in male white rats. The method in this research is experimental laboratory using one sample t-test test data analysis to see the effect of the catfish skin extract cream formula. The research design used was a post test only control group. The experimental group was treated by giving the catfish skin extract cream formula, while the negative control group was not given any treatment. Each cream formula has three concentrations, namely 5%, 7.5% and 12.5% and cream base as a negative control. The results showed that the cream formulation with a concentration of 12.5% had an effect on wound healing on the seventh day, this was seen from physical observation by looking at the changes in the length of the wound which was reduced and the wound had dried. African catfish skin cream has an effect on wound healing with a healing process within 7 days The effectiveness of African catfish skin cream at a concentration of 12.5% has a faster effect on wound healing compared to the 7.5% and 5% formulas
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the spray gel preparation of cayenne pepper leaf extract (Capsicum frutesens L) in inhibiting the growth of Propionibacterium acnes bacteria and to determine the best concentration of the spray gel preparation of cayenne pepper leaf extract (Capsicum frutesens L) tested on acne-causing bacteria. The method in this study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments based on preparations with three concentrations, positive control and negative control. The treatments were: P1 (25% cayenne pepper leaf extract preparation), P2 (50% cayenne pepper leaf extract preparation), P3 (75% cayenne pepper leaf extract preparation), P4 (Control +), and P5 (Control -) . The results showed that the results of phytochemical screening for flavonoid compounds were positive and for the results of the inhibition zone testing of the extract preparations there was an average inhibition zone in the preparation with a concentration of 50% cayenne pepper leaf extract of 11 mm and 75% of 12 mm. While the results of statistical data analysis using One Way Anova get results > 0.05, which is 0.945, which means that H0 is accepted.
Preparations cream is a semisolid dosage forms containing one or more ingredients dissolved or dispersed in the base material which one of the plants that is used as a face cream is guava, because it contains vitamin C which is quite high and has the potential as an excellent antioxidant. This study aims to determine the effect of emulsifier concentration on cream preparations and which formulas show stable results. This research is an experimental study with a posttest only design. The population in this study was guava fruit (Psidium guajava L.) from guava trees in Dulomo Selatan Village, Kota Utara District, Gorontalo. The results showed that in formula I (F1) and formula III (F3) there was a rancid odor, for texture and appearance there had been a change from formula I (F1), namely soft and dense texture and formula II (F2) and formula III (F3). to a soft and fluid texture. The result of measuring the pH of cream preparations in formula 1 (F1) is 7, formula (F2) is 7 and formula (F3) is 7, the test for spreadability of cream preparations in Formula 1 (F1) is 5.25 cm, Formula 2 (F2) 4 .5 cm and Formula 3 (F3) 5.25 cm, the centrifugation test for cream preparations in Formula 1 (F1), Formula 2 (F2) and Formula 3 (F3) separated for 2 hours.
This research aimed to give an overview of the examination results of the serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase (SGOT) levels of the participants of Indonesian Chronic Disease Management Program (PROLANIS) who suffered from hypertension at Kabila Health Center, District of Bone Bolango, Gorantalo. This research used a quantitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The research design used a cross sectional research design. The type of data used were primary data in the form of SGOT examination results on PROLANIS participants conducted at the Gorontalo Regional Health Laboratory and secondary data in the form of interviews using questionnaires obtained directly at the research location. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling with a total sample of 23 participants of PROLANIS. The results showed that all samples of PROLANIS participants with hypertension at the Kabila Health Center in 2021 had normal or no increase in serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase levels.
