The congestion cost is one of the most important consideration when congestion happens. One of the most frequent congestion is in the intersection. And one of the intersections in Yogyakarta Special Region is Condongcatur signalized intersection, Sleman. This study aims to analyze the congestion cost of intersection by using PYV. Vissim 9 as a traffic microsimulation model. For the congestion costs, the author uses Tzedzakis, 1998 approach. The results show that in the existing condition, the average delay is 103.72 determining Vehicle Operating Cost (BOK), Existing Speed is 70 km/H for primary road and 60 km /H for secondary road, travel time value is KB : Rp. 4.970, KR: Rp. 1.925, and SM : Rp. 315. Therefore, the total congestion cost is Rp. 5.663.790, -/hour.
Background: Human lifestyles, including sedentary activities, obesity, and smoking, are associated with a high risk of non-communicable diseases that are a leading cause of death globally. Accordingly, health promotion should be done as early as possible in the adolescent period. Aims: This study explores the efficacy of a peer-educator program in promoting the healthy habits of adolescents, via an existing Indonesian community initiative program called ‘POSBINDU’ (Integrated Counseling Post), led by the general practitioners. Methods: Twenty-week ‘experiential learning’ approach with mixed-method was designed to: 1) Train 10 GP trainers, 2) Recruit and observe the 10 group-1 and 50 group-2 peer-educators in a high school; 3) Develop modules on health lifestyles by the GPS and peer-educators, and 4) Implement the POSBINDU program at the high school. Results: Both GPs and students’ perceptions significantly increased before to after the intervention ( p > 0.05). The participants also expressed they experienced increased comprehension of NCDs and the importance of healthy habits. Conclusions: The existing POSBINDU community's initiative program can potentially be improved by appropriate interventions to empower school students towards better healthy habits to prevent the early progression of NCDs.
Due to a number of universities located in Sleman Regency (Special Region of Yogyakarta) so this region is potential as an attraction area for students coming from its surrounding areas. The transport problems will be appeared when the education services are not planned. Therefore this study aims to identify the origin and destination of student's trip in Sleman Regency by employing home interview survey. In addition, trip generation models either for trip production and trip attraction have also been constructed. The models obtained are numerical model in form of simple linear regression and spatial map. Based on the analysis result, it is known that trip production is influenced by the number of population and trip attraction is determined by the number of students in each zone (sub-district).Keywords: home interview survey, student, trip generation, Sleman Abstrak: Akibat banyaknya perguruan tinggi negeri dan swasta yang berlokasi di Kabupaten Sleman (Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta) maka wilayah ini berpotensi menarik pergerakan pelajar, baik yang berasal dari dalam maupun luar Sleman.
Objectives: Disability weights require regular updates, as they are influenced by both diseases and societal perceptions. Consequently, it is necessary to develop an up-to-date list of the causes of diseases and establish a survey panel for estimating disability weights. Accordingly, this study was conducted to calculate, assess, modify, and validate disability weights suitable for Korea, accounting for its cultural and social characteristics. Methods: The 380 causes of disease used in the survey were derived from the 2019 Global Burden of Disease Collaborative Network and from 2019 and 2020 Korean studies on disability weights for causes of disease. Disability weights were reanalyzed by integrating the findings of an earlier survey on disability weights in Korea with those of the additional survey conducted in this study. The responses were transformed into paired comparisons and analyzed using probit regression analysis. Coefficients for the causes of disease were converted into predicted probabilities, and disability weights in 2 models (model 1 and 2) were rescaled using a normal distribution and the natural logarithm, respectively. Results: The mean values for the 380 causes of disease in models 1 and 2 were 0.488 and 0.369, respectively. Both models exhibited the same order of disability weights. The disability weights for the 300 causes of disease present in both the current and 2019 studies demonstrated a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.994 (<i>p</i>=0.001 for both models). This study presents a detailed add-on approach for calculating disability weights. Conclusions: This method can be employed in other countries to obtain timely disability weight estimations.
Due to imbalance of road capacity and traffic volume, so traffic congestion will be occurred either along the road and intersection. Demak Ijo intersection is one of signalized junction located in the western part of Yogyakarta with high traffic volume so traffic congestion is frequently occurred. The aim of this study is to analyze the performance of existing traffic condition and then estimate the congestion cost at signalized intersection by modeling (simulation) using Vissim 9. The analysis results show that existing traffic condition is in very bad condition (level F), average delay of 80 seconds, average queue length of 48.73 meters with congestion cost is about Rp. 2,830,336 per hour.
