Keywords: scientific paper, publication, indexed international journals ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap: 1) faktor penghambat produktivitas mahasiswa dalam publikasi karya ilmiah pada jurnal internasional terindeks, 2) harapan mahasiswa kepada pengelola kampus untuk meningkatkan produktivitas publikasi karya ilmiah dalam jurnal internasional terindeks. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei yang dilakukan di Program Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (PPs UNY) dengan responden berjumlah 74 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian dijelaskan sebagai berikut. 1) Faktor penghambat publikasi karya ilmiah pada jurnal internasional terindeks bersumber dari faktor eksternal yaitu kesibukan kerja, besarnya biaya, terbatasnya langganan jurnal cetak, terbatasnya langganan jurnal online, dan terbatasnya akses jurnal cetak. 2) Harapan Mahasiswa PPs UNY untuk meningkatkan produktivitas publikasi karya ilmiah dalam jurnal internasional terindeks yaitu perbaikan dan peningkatan dalam sosialisasi, akses informasi dan layanan, pelatihan penulisan dan bahasa Inggris, bantuan alih bahasa secara gratis, menjalin kerjasama dengan berbagai pihak, serta langganan jurnal online dan cetak. Kata kunci: karya ilmiah, publikasi, jurnal internasional terindeks PENDAHULUANPerguruan tinggi merupakan salah satu sumber potensial dalam menghasilkan penelitian dan pengembangan yang berkualtas, khususnya pada program pascasarjana. Penelitian merupakan salah satu kegiatan penting untuk mengembangkan ilmu pengetahuan dan memecahkan permasalahan. Inovasi dan pengembangan pendidikan dapat dilakukan melalui penelitian. Namun demikian, tidak cukup hanya berhenti sampai diperoleh hasil penelitian yang dimaksud. Hasil penelitian harus disebarluaskan untuk meningkatkan kebermanfaatannya melalui publikasi karya ilmiah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan model evaluasi diri yang efektif dan dapat memberikan hasil yang akurat dan menunjukkan kelebihan dan manfaat untuk pengambilan keputusan pengembangan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di 8 SMK di DIY. Fokus penelitian untuk mengetahui problem internal sekolah yang dihadapi, tujuan yang akan dicapai, dan capaian program yang telah diperoleh, sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai dasar pengembangan sekolah mendatang secara berkelanjutan. Metode pengembangan melalui pendekatan R&D (Research and Development) yang dikembangkan oleh Borg and Gall terdiri 10 tahapan/langkah yaitu: penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi, perencanaan, membangun prarencana produk, uji pendahuluan, revisi produk, uji produk di lapangan, revisi produk operasional, uji operasional di lapangan, revisi produk akhir, dan tahap penyebaran dan pelaksanaan. Pengembangan untuk memperoleh komponen dan indikator mutu sekolah digunakan dua pendekatan, yakni teknik Delphi dan focus group discussion (FGD). Spesifikasi produk adalah model evaluasi diri yang dikembangkan berbasis teori, hasil riset, dan informasi yang dapat digunakan untuk menetapkan kinerja SMK berupa: Panduan Umum (Guideline), Instrumen, dan Panduan Pengisian Instrumen, analisis data dan hasil evaluasi. A MODEL OF SELF-EVALUATION FOR VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS IN DAERAH ISTIMEWA YOGYAKARTAAbstractThe research aims to develop a model of effective self-evaluation, to provide an accurate result and to show the advantages of implementation within the decision making. The research wass conducted in 8 vocational high schools in Yogyakarta. The focus of the research is to find the internal problems that the school encounters, the objective that the school would like to achieve and the achievements that the school has accomplished so that the research might be used as the foundation for the school development in the future. The development method by means of Research and Development (R&D) developed by Borg and Gall consists of 10 stages namely: research and information gathering, planning, pre-plan product assembling, preliminary test, product revision, field test, operational product revision, operational field test, final product revision and implementation/distribution. The development for attaining the component and the indicator of quality is obtained by means of two approaches, namely Delphi and focus group discussion (FGD). The product spesification is a model of self-evaluation being developed based on the theory, the results of research and information. Then, the items that might be used evaluating the performance of vocational high school are: Guideline, Instrument and Instrument Manual, data analysis and results of evaluation.
The needs of operators for each type of industry are different because the type and the complexity of the task is different. Small and medium-sized industries require machine operators with better capabilities than operators in large companies, thus it is necessary to identify what tasks are performed by these operators. This study aim at (1) identifying duties of machine tool operators in small and medium enterprises, and (2) identifying tasks carried out by machine tool operators in small and medium enterprises. This study used a descriptive research method. The participants were eight machine tool operators from five small and medium enterprises in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The data collection used document review, observation, questionnaires and focus group discussions. The data were analysed using descriptive analysis. The results of the study were (1) five duties done by machine tool operators are identified (maintaining safe work environment, maintaining the machine tools, analyzing the blueprint, performing machining operations, cleaning the machines and the workplace), and (2) twenty seven tasks executed by machine tool operators are identified; twenty-two knowledge and skills, seventeen behaviors, and eighteen machines, tools and equipment required by machine operators.
The purpose of this research is to reveal the factors that influence vocational school teachers’ readiness to implement curriculum 2013 revised edition in Cilacap regency. The factors are 1) principals’ leadership toward the teachers’ readiness, 2) the impact of teachers’ professionalism toward teachers’ readiness, 3) the impact of the teachers’ training. This research is an ex-post facto research. The method of collecting data used in this research is the mix method. The data was collected by using questioner and interview and then, analyzed by applying statistics descriptive counts mean of the percentage. To confirm the hypotheses, this study used multiple linear regression. The result of the research showed that: (1) principals’ leadership affect teachers’ readiness in the amount of 8.4%, (2) teachers’ professionalism impact the teachers’ readiness in amount of 17.7%, (3) teachers’ training impact teachers’ readiness in amount of 24.1%, and (4) principals’ leadership, professionalism, and teachers’ training simultaneously, affect teachers’ readiness and it is proved by Fcalculate in the amount of 5,403 and significant value (p = 0,001 < 0,05). It meant that the whole result of the three free-variables affects the teachers’ readiness significantly in implementing curriculum 2013 revised edition at vocational school in Cilacap.
