The management of the study program has the same management principles and functions as the management in general, that is to provide guidance in order to act systematically in achieving what has been planned properly, effectively, and efficiently. Communication skill become the important factor in success the management project that is planned. The failure in managing the communication will make the situation become difficult to be controlled and often being the greatest threat for the success of a plan. This research was aimed to know the communication management in managing Communication Department of Fajar University Makassar. The method used was case study with deep interview and document analysis as the technique of data collection. The research result showed that the process of communication management organized by Communication Department were planning, implementation, and evaluation which refer to Strategic Plan (Renstra) that was designed to be runned within five years. If the right person should be kept informed with the right information at the right time, then the steps that can be used are: Advances in Economics, Identify the information that needs to be communicated Determining the target audience for communication Decide on the communication format and timing Draft and gain approval where required Communicate the message, through formal communication channels Gather feedback and improve the project communication process By using this communication process, a manager is able to clearly identify the stakeholders, identify their communication needs and ensure the right people receive the right information at the right time.This communication process should be used when wanting to communicate formally within an organization. By using communication management planning, a manager can ensure that no miscommunication occurs. Moreover, as a part of the communication process, managers also receive feedback both during the process and after the process. It is to ensure that future communication will be improved.The importance of communication management in the success of a project can ensure that the flow of information reaches the right person so that the communications built happen effectively. Khusus di Kota Makassar, hiruk pikuk jelang pemilihan Walikota dan Wakil Walikota sudah ramai diperbincangkan di tengah masyarakat. Persepsi yang terbentuk di kalangan masyarakat tidak lepas dari publish atau pemberitaan yang diterbitkan berbagai media, baik elektronik, cetak, online yang tentunya akan menarik untuk di teliti. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis Kecenderungan Berita Fajar.co.id menjelang pemilihan Walikota dan Wakil Walikota Makassar Tahun 2020. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan peneliti pada tulisan ini yakni, kualitatif deskriptif, dengan menggunakan analisis pendekatan dari Zhangdang Pan dan Gerald M. Koscki Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa Fajar.co.id cenderung memberikan jumlah pemberitaan yang besar kepada pasangan Munafri Arifuddin (Appi) dan Abdul Rahman Bando dibandingkan dengan pemberitaan tiga pasangan calon Walikota dan Wakil Walikota lainnya namun tetap dengan porsi yang sama.
Korean wave atau gelombang hallyu merupakan fenomena budaya populer yang saat ini telah menyebar ke banyak negara, salah satunya adalah Indonesia. Terbukti dengan banyaknya komunitas pencinta Korea yang sudah ada di Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini meletakan fokus pada bagaimana korean wave mempengaruhi perilaku komunikasi serta menentukan minat beli pada komunitas pencinta Korea yang ada di Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Terpaan Media. Sedangkan pendekatan yang digunakan yakni penelitian kuantitatif yakni dengan menggunakan Kuesioner, pengamatan dan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pengaruh korean wave cukup signifikan pada komunitas pencinta Korea di Makassar. Signifikansi tersebut ditunjukkan dari besar pengaruh Korean Wave terhadap perilaku komunikasi yaitu 47,4% dan pengaruh korean wave terhadap minat beli sebesar 44,3% serta pengaruh perilaku komunikasi terhadap minat beli yakni sebesar 44,0%. besarnya pengaruh korean wave terhadap perilaku komunikasi dan minat beli anggota komunitas korea di makassar merupakan terpaan dari media yang mencakup gaya berbicara serta gaya hidup.
