ABSTRACT The current study aims to explore the students’ preferences on face to face corrective feedback vs online corrective feedback in ESP class. It is an attempt to investigate if they prefer to be corrected directly face to face by teachers or they like to be provided online corrective feedback by the teachers. To do so, a questionnaire was distributed to a group of students who are taking English for Specific Purposes and also focus group discussion was used in order to find out their beliefs toward their corrective feedback preferences. Totally, 50 students who were taking ESP courses at State Polytechnic of Subang participated in this study. The results from the questionnaire analysis revealed that the students preferred their teachers to use face to face corrective feedback, with an overall mean (x̄ = 3,95) in learning effectiveness, (x̄ = 4,12) in learning accuracies, and (x̄ = 4,02) in learning experiences. The focus group discussion revealed the students’ beliefs in their corrective feedback preferences, they believed that the teachers should be able to guide their learning, use communicative ways, and encourage them by using their learning preferences. The study suggested that taking these preferences into consideration could help students to increase their confidence in learning English. The current spread of the Covid-19 virus in Indonesia has had a major impact in every aspect, especially Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises. One of them is the production of Canggah Coffee (Kopi Canggah) in Subang regency located in Cupunegara village. Since the presence of Covid-19 pandemic, sales of Canggah Coffee have started to decline due to the reduced number of visitors to buy these processed coffee products. Thus, to face this problem, State Polytechnic of Subang supported by Indonesia Bangkit Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises program intended to assist the problem by designing an e-commerce system to expand the the promotion of Canggah Coffee. The system design is developed by System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method. The system is built through 5 stages, namely survey / analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation and maintenance. Afterwards, the system was successfully designed and built, it is begun to be used by Canggah Coffee. This system can provide information and online product sales so that the customers can order and buy this processed coffee products from their home. Additionally, this system also facilitates periodic transaction reports which is very useful for this Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises.
Introduction: Ischemic stroke has become the leading cause of premature death in the last two decades. The biggest problem in preventing recurrence ischemic stroke is the compliance of the sufferers and the obedient behavior will arise only if they are consistent and have a strong intention. This study aims to determine the effect of behavioral counseling in increasing the intention to prevent recurrent ischemic stroke by using the theory of planned behavior model approach. Methods: Randomized Control Trial was conducted on 64 patients after an ischemic stroke that was managed by a public health center in East Java, Indonesia. Simple random sampling technique was used to take samples in this study. We provided behavioral counseling regarding the prevention of ischemic stroke recurrence to the treatment group using the Behavioral module which was compiled based on the guidelines from the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), while the intention variable was measured using the intention measurement instrument from the TPB Questionaries. The data obtained were then analyzed by using an independent t test. Results: The result revealed that there was a significant difference in the mean value of the intention variable between the control group and the treatment group after the TPB-based behavioral counseling intervention for 1 month (p=0.015). Discussion: The behavioral counseling of TPB-based can be implemented as an alternative way in increasing the sufferers’ intention to prevent recurrence ischemic stroke. Further research in a broader scope is needed to prove the effectiveness of behavioral counseling on the structural values of the Theory of Planned Behavior.
