This article is devoted to the development of complex purification technology of used motor oil, its scientific and technological foundations formulations, including: determination the nature of contamination in used motor oil, research the ability of ultrasonic irradiation process to decontaminate of used motor oil, determination and optimization of the factors, that may affect feasibility and efficiency of the proposed method, research of the nature adsorbents (local origin) vermiculite influence on the efficiency of the used motor oil purification process from the unwanted components and to identify the optimal characteristics of materials. The estimated theoretical value of the work consists of integrated research of the regularities of unwanted components destruction by ultrasonic irradiation and adsorption and compare their effectiveness with foreign analogs, definition of the thermodynamics and kinetics of the adsorption process.
The article is devoted to the research of the acid activation process of mineral sorbentvermiculite. This layered silicates could be applied for adsorptive separation and purification of chemical substances in petrochemical, gas, food, pharmaceutical and chemical industry. On the basis of X-ray diffraction and adsorption it was shown that the adsorption properties, and other physical and chemical properties of the layered silicates with a rigid structure are defined by dispersion, which in turn depends on the vermiculite crystal lattice structure. It was proved that the formation of amorphous silica during the vermiculite treatment with hot sulfuric acid. Vermiculite can be used to produce technical silica, because the activation by solution of 20-25% H 2 SO 4 occurs total destruction of its lattice and the formation of substantially pure silica.
Petroleum takes the leading place in fuel and energy sector. It is a basis of fuel and energy balance of advanced countries economics. Light oil proven reserves reducing is a general trend of modern oil industry development. Almost the entire increase in reserves is due to viscous heavy sour oil [1][2]
This article is devoted to the theoretical and experimental research of quality improvement in oil products at adsorptive treatment by vermiculite sorbent. In the conditions of the territorial proximity of sources of sorbents and the importance of improving the quality of various petroleum products, it is actual in the future to create a treatment scheme that includes the stage of adsorption treatment with vermiculite. The purpose of this research on the current stage is the theoretical and experimental justification for qualitative changes in the properties of petroleum products obtained during adsorption treatment. In the course of the research, a complex study of the physico-chemical properties of the vermiculite of the Kulantau field (Kazakhstan) was carried out with reference to petroleum products obtained from high-sulfur low-viscosity oil. The results of the research proved that vermiculites with success can be used to separate any mixtures of molecules, of acceptable size and structure. Also, it can adsorb not only water, but also the products of oxidation of hydrocarbon, oxygen and other heterorganic compounds.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
