We report experimental results of generation at 266 nm in LBO crystal by frequency mixing of the fundamental (1064 nm) and third harmonic (355 nm) of ytterbium pulsed fiber laser radiation. Deep ultraviolet (DUV) output power of 3.3 W at 266 nm was achieved with 14% IR-to-DUV conversion efficiency. UV-induced bulk degradation of LBO crystals was observed and visualized by the dark field method.
Red laser radiation of 15 W power at 0.63 11 was obtained by sum frequency generation of 1.5511 and 1.0611 radiation wavelengths from Er and Yb pulsed fiber lasers with 1 MHz pulse repetition rate respectively. Noncritical phase matching of lithium triborat (LBO) crystal at temperature 13°C was employed for sum frequency generation. The optical-to optical conversion efficiency of 40 % was achieved. The proposed technique allows obtaining high-power pulsed single-mode laser red radiation in 0.6 11-0.65 11 spectral region.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
