The research aimed to determine the level of practice of the respondents from the heads of rural families of the habits related to food behavior and related to social events, as well as to determine the impact of habits on the rate of their consumption of food in the research area, as well as to identify the respondents' proposals to rationalize their consumption of food in the research area from their point of view, and to achieve the objectives of the research. The data were collected from a random sample of 380 respondents using a questionnaire form using the personal interview method during the period from January 2022 to March 2022, the weighted average and T-test were used in statistical data analysis, and Cohn's equation was applied to measure the effect size (𝑑 = t √𝑛 ) in addition to the tabular display in frequencies and percentages. The results showed that most of the social habits that the respondents adhere to and practice to a greater extent are the social habits associated with wedding occasions compared to their counterparts in the habits associated with other social occasions. It was also found that the respondents' adherence to some social habits decreased, such as the celebration of Sham El-Nessim, the annual of the deceased and male circumcision ceremonies. The results also showed that the habit of the newborn week affected by an average increase in poultry consumption, oil, and sugar, and a low increase in the consumption of meat, flour, bread, vegetables, ghee, and fruits. While male circumcision ceremonies usually affected by an average increase in the consumption of meat, bread, vegetables, and sugar, and a low increase in the consumption of poultry, flour, ghee, oil, and fruits, and that usually wedding banquets affected a high increase in the consumption of meat, poultry, flour, bread, and vegetables ghee, oil, sugar, and fruits, with an average increase in the consumption of eggs, and a low increase in the consumption of milk, And that the habit of funeral feasts affected a high increase in the consumption of meat, poultry, bread, vegetables, sugar, and fruits, with an average increase in the consumption of flour, ghee, and oil, and a low increase in the consumption of fruits, and that the habit of celebrating Sham El-Nessim affected by an average increase in the consumption of fish, and eggs.
The research aimed to determine the degree of rural womens' participation in social development, identifying constraints to them participation in social development, thus determine the correlation between studied independent variables and the degree of them participation in social development, to achieve the research objectives. The data were collected from a simple random sample of 357 rural women by questionnaire form from December 2021 to February 2022, frequencies, percentages, weighted mean and Spearman rank order correlation coefficient, were used for data presentation and analysis. The degree of participation in social development has been measured through three themes; the first is participation in social organizations and measured through three indicators, (1) membership in social organizations, (2) attendance at meetings of such organizations and (3) participation during such meetings; the second is participation in the community development projects, measured through two indicators, (1) Participation in different stages (planning, implementation, supervision, monitoring and evaluation) of these projects, (2) Type of participation in these projects; the third and final erasure is participation in the community social activities. The results showed a big decrease in the degree of membership of respondents in studied social organizations, degree of regularity in attending meetings, degree of participation during those meetings, degree of participation in the different stages of development projects and type of contribution you have made to these projects, while degree of participation in the social activities ranged from low to very high. The most constraints to the respondents' participation in development projects: lack of time to participate, not know how to administer injections and solution, not know how to convert crop residues into animal feed. Significant positive correlation was found at 0.01 level between degree of participation in social development and some theirs of the studied independent variables.
This research aimed at determine the degree quality of life from the point of view of the respondents in the countryside Sohag Governorate, And the study of the correlation between the degree quality of life from the point of view of the respondents and their independent variables studied, As well as identifying the obstacles they face in achieving a good life from their point of view and their proposals to overcome these obstacles. The field research was conducted on a simple random sample of 380 respondents from the heads of families in three villages in three centers in Sohag Governorate, The degree of quality of life was determined from the perspective of the respondents through six dimensions: (1) The social dimension, which was measured by three indicators (public health and food, family stability and family relations, and social solidarity), (2) The economic dimension, which was measured through three indicators (income and standard of living, economic empowerment, and housing status), (3) The political dimension, which was measured through three indicators (political participation, enjoyment of freedoms and civil rights, social justice and self-determination), (4) The psychological dimension, which was measured through three indicators (community affiliation, occupational satisfaction, and mental health), (5) The environmental dimension, which was measured through two indicators (environmental health and environmental behavior), (6) The service dimension, The data was collected using a personal interview questionnaire during the months of September and October 2022, In analyzing the data and presenting the results, it relied on the tabular presentation of frequencies, percentages, and weighted average, and Spearman's rank correlation coefficient, using the SPSS. The results showed: oThe indicators of public health, income and standard of living, economic empowerment, housing status, political participation, enjoyment of freedoms and civil rights, social justice and self-determination, occupational satisfaction, mental health, and environmental health were of medium quality, between rates of 49.7٪, 46.1٪, 52.9٪, 63.9٪, 54.7٪, 67.9٪, 50.8٪, 48.4٪, 55.0٪, and 82.6٪ of the respondents, respectively, while the indicators of family stability, family relations, and solidarity were Social, community affiliation, environmental behavior, and the service dimension were good, with rates of 68. 4٪, 51.1٪, 82.1٪, 57.1٪, and 48.9٪, respectively.
