Currently the speeding up of digital transformation makes it obvious that application of digital technologies and the degree of involvement into digital transformation is an essential and significant aspect of scientific and technical potential of an industrial enterprise. The article is devoted to the analysis of trends and prospects of development of basic technologies which are the basis for digital transformation of the world economics: the Internet of things, artificial intelligence, robotization and technologies of the big data processing. The authors present the assessment of the current state of digitalization for Russian industrial enterprises by analyzing the data on the implementation of the above mentioned technologies in business-process.
The authors study oil and gas industry, its condition and perspective trends of industrial development. One of them involves applying low carbon and low cost technologies. The authors introduce new strategic imperatives in oil and gas sector to perform energy transition. They study the types of categories of perspective trends of the industry’s development: scaling up the development and implementation of a carbon capture and storage system, using low carbon raw materials, making it possible to take granular measurements. The article deals with perspectives of the oil and gas industry for the current year. The perspectives are built with the consideration of the previous year’s indicators and include all the past disasters and the dynamics of their solution and the results for the society. The authors show wider implementation of drones used for abnormal emissions of hydrogen sulfide to carry out distant monitoring, observations, inspections and preventive maintenance, change tracking, methane management, emergency response and material processing. The article describes precision drilling which reduces the risk of accidents, oil spills, fires and increases rate of penetration. The authors present microwave hydraulic fracturing which can become the next significant achievement in the perspective development of the industry.
The article examines the current situation in the world production and consumption of the liquefied natural gas (LNG). The main global trends as well as the reasons for significant growth in LNG consumption in most countries are analyzed. The authors also study the structure of global import of LNG and the opportunities for increasing supplies by the Russian energy companies. Russian companies are primarily supplying LNG to European countries. However, the results of the analysis show high export potential of the Asian market. Realizing the potential is the most important strategic task for domestic energy companies. The article also examines the history and the current process of developing LNG production on the Russian territory. The authors reveal various aspects of the current implementation of such projects as “Yamal LNG” and “Arctic LNG 2” within the Arctic area of the Russian Federation. Particularly, the authors describe development of transportation-logistics system as part of these projects. Moreover, the article contains the analysis of the problem of ensuring technological independence in the process of implementation of LNG projects. Russian energy companies should increase their technological independence and localization of production by consistent implementation of the import substitution strategy. One of the solutions in ensuring technological independence is innovation technology of natural gas liquefaction “Arctic Cascade”. The article presents the detailed technical and economical aspect of implementing this technology. Using this technology ensures 30 % reduction of the LNG production cost price. Besides, this innovation technology can ensure 100 % localization of production.
A long-term development concept for Russia’s lignite industry has been presented, developed based on a comprehensive evaluation of active coal mining companies. The economic indicators of 48 Russian companies engaged in lignite mining were analyzed, both nationally and regionally, allowing for specific provisions of the concept to be formulated accounting for the spatial development of industry companies. The relevance of this work is due to the high strategic significance of the lignite industry for the country’s economy, which is in ensuring energy security for the Far East and Siberia on a long-term perspective of up to the depletion of explored lignite reserves in 1137 years with the current level of mining. Despite the high strategic importance of the industry, there is a risk of a decrease in its role in the country’s economic development, as the industry has faced several internal and external challenges. These challenges require a quick response to prevent potential damage they may cause. The results of the analysis of the current state of Russia’s lignite industry are presented in terms of the distribution of explored lignite reserves, the territorial localization of active coal mining organizations, their production and economic conditions, and their associations with the external environment. Based on the results of the analysis, a concept and principles for industry development have been formulated. The concept involves increasing lignite mining in the Far Eastern Federal District and maintaining the volume of mining in the Siberian Federal District, achieved through creating necessary conditions for economic development, including diversification of products produced from lignite.
In the modern economics of industrial production the fundamental trend is the technological potential connected with the period of transition to innovative high technology industrial production. It is an important factor influencing the perspective indicators of development of economics and the entire industrial complex. Management of industrial enterprises requires establishing new approaches to the use of technological potential and its management. For this purpose, the works of scientists in the subject area of the technological potential of industrial enterprises have been studied. The authors consider theoretical approaches to studying technological potential and sustainable development of industrial enterprises. They systematized methodological approaches to studying the concept of ‘technological potential’ and structured the factors influencing it. The fundamental factors include social, international factors, state of economy, economic policy, market factors, factors of governmental influence and institutional factors. To assess the technological potential of an enterprise, a system of KPI is used, which allows taking into account the limitations and desirable levels for a whole range of particular parameters of indicators, indicators, both quantitative and qualitative.
