The paper is devoted to the determination of the epistemological paradigm of the analysis of institutional systems in the economy at the level of the micro-meso-macro hierarchy. The necessity of including the mesolevel in the hierarchy of the economic system is substantiated since the mesolevel has unique characteristics and reflects the characteristics of intersubjective relations. In the framework of the paradigm under consideration, the features of the formation and transformation of the expectations and preferences of economic agents are considered. A system of scientific hypotheses is proposed that define the paradigm of studying economic hierarchies from the perspective of intersubjective relations.
The meso-level' meaning and place in the hierarchy of levels in the economy from the standpoint of a systematic interdisciplinary approach is shown in the paper: The meso-level exactly "smoothes out" the randomness in the situational-socioeconomic processes taking place at the micro-level, where the heteromorphic and heterogeneous current agents' expectations and preferences appear one of the essential reasons of increasing of uncertainty level within the development of any process. At the macro-level, the current individual agents' expectations and preferences are offset by the current institutional system. The meso-level is exactly the place where the current dominant type of inter-subjective relations in economy is formed through the agents' complementary cooperation in mesoeconomic agents' community. Mesolevel should be considered as a testing ground for revision of the existing institutional system norms, where the testing of the feasibility and versatility of the newly generated institutions and the identification of the inefficient ones are taking place. 1. Introduction
As a result of the research, the paper shows the essential need to take into account the social attributes of processes and phenomena in economy. From the standpoint of the interdisciplinary approach at various levels of the system three-hierarchy (micro-meso-macro) in economy, the following characteristics of social attributes are considered: “economic agent”, “expectations of the economic agent” and “preferences of the economic agent” taking into account their heteromorphism and heterogeneity, “intersubjective relations in economy”, “trust” between economic agents, “institutions”. The conclusions made as a result of the study make it possible to formulate the concept of selecting tools for economic and mathematical modeling of processes and phenomena at various levels of the system three-hierarchy (micro-meso-macro) in economy. Further studies will make it possible to select the most relevant tools for each level of the system three-hierarchy from the numerous apparatus used to model processes and phenomena in economy taking into account the concept proposed in this paper.
