Article is devoted to the results of dynamic tests, tests on the line and tests for durability of electric locomotive СS4 with bogies frames produced by HK «Luganskteplovoz». The received results of tests have shown, that the modernized electric locomotive corresponds to Normative parameters.

The paper provides the outcomes of theoretical calculations of vertical loading of wheelsets of two-axle locomotive bogies with the locomotive running on a stationary mode with a freight train. Evaluation is given to the influence of the slope angle of the inclined roller on the difference of loadings onto the bogie wheelsets.
