Syntheses of new adducts from glycidyl methacrylate and the following amines: aniline, p-phenylenediamine, 4,4Ј-oxydianiline, 4,4Ј-diaminodiphenylmethane, 4,4Ј-diaminodiphenyl sulfone, 4,4Ј-thiodianiline, and 4,4Ј-diaminodicyclohexylmethane, are presented. These adducts were copolymerized with glycidyl methacrylate. The curing process was initiated thermally and by UV light.Thermomechanical properties of the obtained compositions were studied.
Synthesis of the adduct of aniline and glycidyl methacrylate and its polymerization and copolymerization with two diisocyanates are presented. Hexyl diisocyanate representing aliphatic compounds and toluene diisocyanate as the aromatic compound were used. UV and thermal initiations were applied. The curing process was controlled by FTIR analysis. Thermomechanical properties of the compositions cured at different temperatures were compared.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
