Leptospirosis is an infectious disease of humans and animals that is caused by pathogenic spirochetes of the genus Leptospira. It is considered the most common zoonosis in the world and is associated with settings of poor sanitation and agricultural occupations involving contact with animals or water. The authors have analyzed the present day world and particular Ukrainian situation with leptospirorsis and pointed out the urgent measures which could prevent its prevalence.
Purpose. The purpose of the study is ecological-geographical analysis of nature management in Ivanichi district of Volyn region. Method. During the scientific work the following methods of socio-geographical research were used: cartographic, comparative, observation, generalization, analysis and synthesis. The statistical method calculates the indicators of transformational changes by types of natural resources. The method of geoinformation modeling of the state of the processes of nature management and their development made it possible to reveal the relationship of transformed resources with the factors of influence. Results. An ecological-geographical assessment of nature management in the Ivanichi district of Volyn region has been carried out. The basis of the economic complex of the district is agriculture and processing industry. On the other hand, mining and machine-building industry prevail in the structure of Novovolynsk city economy. The influence of both natural and technogenic processes and factors on the formation of ecological and geographical situation in the territory of the district is substantiated. The specific combination of environmental management has led to the spatial differentiation of environmental stress and the varying degree of its implementation in the form of a spectrum of hazardous processes. The scientific novelty is the ecological and geographical determination of the types of economic nature management in the Ivanichi district of Volyn region. The analysis of the impact on the formation of the ecological situation in the area and the proposed measures for its optimization are carried out. Practical importance. The results of the study can be used in the educational process of the East National University named after Lesya Ukrainka in teaching a number of geographic and tourism disciplines. The results will find their application in the legislative and executive work of local governments in the development of programs for socio-economic development of the territory. The research materials will facilitate the rational use of economically transformed natural and anthropogenic territories and objects of the Ivanichi district of Volyn, which will increase the profitability and competitiveness of the exploitation of the objects of land and industrial fund. A number of provisions can be used in similar studies in other regions of Ukraine.
Aim. The aim of the study is to analyze the retrospective of the development of Ivanychi district as a significant factor influencing the state of the environment. Method. The scientific work used such methods of geographical research as: historical, comparative-geographical, cartographic, mathematical, observation, generalization, analysis and synthesis. Using the statistical method, the indicators of different development of the territory of Ivanychi district by types of nature management are calculated. The method of geoinformation modeling allowed to build maps of grouping of settlements of the district according to historical mentions and significance in the settlement retrospective. Results. An ecological and geographical assessment of the historical stages of development of the territory of Ivanychi district of Volyn region by types of nature management in one or another epoch of human civilization development has been carried out. It is noted that during this time the basis of the economic complex of the district were agriculture and various industries using natural raw materials. The structure of management on the territory of the region underwent a radical change in the post-war period of the twentieth century, when coal mining deposits of the Lviv-Volyn coal basin were put into operation. The negative impact on the environment from economic activity in the area, the types of which together exert a strong man-made pressure on all components of the geographical shell. The scientific novelty lies in the ecological and geographical determination of the magnitude of the impact of economic nature in the Ivanychi district of Volyn region on the environment and the analysis of the formation of the settlement structure during the historical retrospective. Practical importance. The results of the research can be used in the educational process of VSU named after Lesya Ukrainka in teaching geographical, economic and tourism disciplines. The results will find their application in the legislative and executive work of local governments in the development of programs of socio-economic development of territorial communities. The materials of the research will promote the rational use of anthropogenic resources and objects of social and household services in Volyn, which will allow to qualitatively influence the course of administrative reform. A number of provisions can be used in similar studies of the regions of Ukraine.
