Abstract. The article deals with the direction of formation of information competence of the future IT-specialists in learning programming using computer-based training systems; areas of competence IT-specialists, analyzes the main features of professional programmers, the necessity of a systematic control of knowledge and skills in programming, the expediency of automation control process developed by training programs through the creation of computer training system testing software source texts.
