Ports are developing sustainability frameworks in order to cope with latest requirements from the stakeholders. Economic, environmental and social dimensions of sustainability are the three pillars of the topic. Although economic and environmental aspects of sustainability in ports are widely researched in the literature, the social dimension of gender equality research is scarce. To fill the gap, it is important to identify the most important efforts for improving gender equality in ports. The aim of this study is to evaluate the gender equality criterias by port executives in terms of social sustainability. For this purpose, one of the Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods, Step-wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis (SWARA) was used to evaluate the priority weights of five criterias in Turkey.  The results show that recruitment policy is the most important criteria in the field. Therefore, some suggestions are made to port industry to become more socially sustainable by minimizing the gender gap.

Social media has been widely used by businesses nowadays. Although in B2B industry, social media marketing isn't grown up as fast as it was in B2C market, many businesses begun to develop social media strategies and reach to new and existing corporate customers via social media recently. In this study, the main purpose is to examine social media usage patterns of Turkish maritime transportation companies through Facebook. In order to identify the social media usage habits of Turkish maritime transportation companies an exploratory study was conducted. In the period between January-November 2018, the maritime companies existing in Facebook are analyzed with a content analysis in terms of contents of the posts and stakeholder engagement levels. The findings show that posts on corporate image and special days are highly re-shared and taken positive reactions by followers. At the end of the study, suggestions for practitioners and direction for further studies are presented.

İklim değişikliği, kuraklık, enerji kaynaklarının tüketimi gibi küresel sorunlar liman faaliyetlerinin sorgulanmasına sebep olmuştur. Liman operasyonlarının çevre, insan ve ekosistem üzerindeki olumsuz etkilerini azaltmak amacıyla limanlar çeşitli stratejiler oluşturmaya başlamıştır. Uluslararası organizasyonların katkıları ve oluşturdukları yasal düzenlemeler ile, liman operasyonları çevreci bir bakış açısıyla yönetilmeye çalışılmaktadır. Alanyazında yeşil liman konusunda yapılan yayınlar da artmaya başlamıştır. Yeşil liman araştırmalarındaki artış göz önüne alındığında, çalışmaların içerik analizinin, alanın gelişimi için faydalı olacağı düşünülmüştür. Bu çalışma, 2009-2020 yılları arasında bilimsel dergilerde yayınlanan makalelerin bir derlemesini sunarak bu amaca katkıda bulunmayı hedeflemektedir. Bulgular, yeşil liman araştırmalarında ilk odak noktasının yeşil liman politikaları, gelişimi, operasyonları ve enerji alanında olduğunu göstermektedir. Son yıllarda araştırmaların artmasıyla birlikte odak noktası daha çok yeşil liman ve enerji, gelişim stratejileri, yeşil liman pazarlaması alanına kaymıştır. Bu çalışma, yeşil liman konusundaki mevcut çalışma alanlarının belirlemeye ve araştırmaların ne yöne doğru evrildiğini göstermeye çalışmıştır. Ayrıca, çalışmanın yeşil liman ile ilgili daha fazla araştırmayı teşvik edeceği ve bu nedenle alanın ilerlemesine katkıda bulunacağı öngörülmektedir.

Starting from the city of Wuhan in China in March 2020, the Covid-19 virus, which spread all over the world in a short time, affected many areas globally. With the declaration of the epidemic worldwide, a red alert was issued in the national and international community. The significant impact of the restrictions applied to slow the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic, as in many other sectors, has also manifested itself in the economy sector. The maritime industry, which constitutes the most important part of international trade, was caught unprepared for this unexpected epidemic. The purpose of this study is to bibliometrically analyze the articles written on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on maritime logistics and ports. Web of Science database was used to conduct the study and 29 articles were reached. The articles were examined in detail in terms of number of publications, keyword analysis, author and journal information, and citation analysis. It is aimed that the results of the bibliometric study will guide future studies in this field.
