Photosensing cadmium sulphide crystals of wurtzite type have been grown by flux method in a latinum crusible. Platelets, needles and prisms at the bottom and regular shaped greenokite like crystals were seen in the middle portion of the charge in crusible. This variation of geometrical shape (habits) of these crystals may be related with the growth parameters like ‐ charge composition ,cooling rate sheduled during run , and peak temperature of furnace. The probable role of these parameters is explained along with the surface microstructures on these various shaped crystals.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
