Thc mechanisms of interaction of nonequilibrium phonons with electron donor states localized on Cozi impurities in monocrystals of CdTe are investigated by the heat pulse technique. There is no impurity scattering for phonons of longitudinal mode propagating along one of the fourth-order axcs 9 1, [ 1001, where I-phonons are nonpiezoactive. Therefore, the piezoelectric mechanism of electron phonon interaction predominates over all other scattering mechanisms.
