Pediatric age group is not an exception to stroke and is associated with higher morbidity and mortality. Infact it is more detrimen-tal in children, with morbidity being inversely proportional to age. Cerebro vascular hypoplasias are one of the causes. There are diverse and overlapping risk factors, variable clinical presentations which makes the diagnosis missed or frequently delayed.
