The paper considers the problem of the development of new flux cored wires manufactured from concentrates and waste products of the mining industry of the Far Eastern Region. The authors provide the results of the analysis of the phase and chemical compositions of mineral raw materials, and experimental research. We have developed diagrams that offer a selection of different compositions of charge mixtures depending on the properties demanded from the weld deposited metal. We have also developed a flux cored wire for deposit welding of the automatic coupling locks of the rolling stock that ensures the hardness of the weld metal 500 НВ retaining high parameters of notch toughness (impact strength).
This research is caused by the need to make a scientific and technical analysis and obtain informed assessments of the consequences of deicing agents application to urban roads for the heat network infrastructure. The main objectives of this research were to assess the impact of the deicing agent on initiation and acceleration of corrosion of the heat network equipment (pipelines, nonmobile and sliding bearings), the effect of this corrosion on reliability of heat supply to consumers, and to determine the economic damage caused by the decline in service life of pipelines. In addition, the study identified additional circumstances of the detrimental effect of deicing agents on the heat network infrastructure associated with destructive changes in the concrete structures of the heat network thermal chambers.
The results of the study of the possibility of using additional technological influence in the formation of doped coatings are presented. The distribution of thermal fields has been calculated, which makes it possible to estimate and predict the influence of additional influence on the formation of the coating in a simplified manner. Experimental studies have shown that additional technological influence promotes mixing of the melt, leading to an increase in the transition of alloying elements, as well as an increase in the mechanical properties and quality of the weld metal.
This work suggests a methodological approach to selection of material according to the “price and quality” criterion on the basis of functional and mathematical definitions of indicators of reliability of machine parts. The reliability of components, as an indivisible element of the system, determines the reliability of the material proceeding from its quality.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
