Central University (CU) Libraries in India are currently at various stages of advancement in the use of information technology(IT). This paper presents the results of a research study conducted to survey the use of IT in CU libraries. It describes libraries collection, current periodicals, library staff, users, budget, and infrastructural facilities of CU libraries. It discusses planning approaches adopted for IT implementation, objectives of library automation, persons involved in library automation planning, steps taken for library automation implementation, factors considered in selecting library automation software, and constraints faced in library automation. It covers computers and software packages used, computerised library operations, development of databases, bibliographic standards used, computerised information services, level of participation in networks and computerised facilities offered to users, etc. The results summarized in this paper reflect the current trends and future plans relating to the use of IT in CU libraries.
Prednisolone is a 1, 2-dehydrocortisolwhich is highly potent synthetic glucocorticosteroid which has minimal mineralocorticoid activity. Prednisolone is used as antinflammatory or immunosuppressive agent, which indicated in the treatment of various conditions, including congenital adrenal hyperplasia, psoriatic arthritis, systemic lupus erythematous, bullous dermatitis herpetiformis, seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis. Majorly it causes Cushing Syndrome, peptic ulceration, edema, hypokalemia, muscle weakness, behavioral changes. A 55 year old female patient was consulted in the dermatology department with chief complaints of swelling and redness of blisters on mouth and fore head, difficulty while swallowing since 2 months, past medical history of patient includes, she was already taking treatment for this condition which includes Tab. Chlophenaramine malate 4mg, Tab. Prednisolone 25 mg, Tab. Vitamin C 500 mg, Oint. Clobestalol 0.05% w/v, Glycerin lotion 5ml. After 15 days, patient had complaints of swelling of both lower limbs after administration of Tab. Prednisolone, this is the reason for hospital admission. Better vigilance is necessary for implementation of safe and effective treatment for each individual patient. In-order to prevent serious adverse drug reactions of this drug, close monitoring during treatment course, creating awareness, recognition of the problem and careful management of all patients who receive this medication are essential, because use of corticosteroids causes toxic effects like abdominal tenderness, fluid retention, insomnia, muscle weakness etc. and if close monitoring is not provided during treatment course, it can cause permanent disability, morbidity, mortality.

Better vigilance is necessary for implementation of safe and effective treatment for each individual patient.
BACKGROUND Prostate cancer is becoming a significant international health problem. There is a significant variation in incidence of clinical prostate cancer worldwide. We wanted to study the incidence of carcinoma of the prostate, its clinical presentation and different histopathological patterns including rare variants. We also wanted to grade prostatic carcinoma by Gleason system and study the correlation of prostate specific antigen levels with carcinoma whenever possible. METHODS This prospective study was performed for a period of 3 years from April 2015 to May 2018. The specimens were collected from Government Medical College Hospital Kadapa, private hospitals and nursing homes in and around Kadapa. The material is collected in 10% formalin. Grossing of suprapubic prostatectomy specimen is done as follows-weight of specimen, shape, colour and consistency, presence of hyperplastic nodules, cyst, areas suspicious of carcinoma. RESULTS The results of present study showed that conventional adenocarcinoma was the most common type of prostate carcinoma constituting 88% of cases, 4% of cases were diagnosed as ductal adenocarcinoma, 2% as transitional cell carcinoma, mucin adenocarcinoma, signet ring cell carcinoma and small cell carcinoma. Among these patients 19% graded as score 4 of Gleason's grading, system 4% as score 5, 10% as score 6, 18% as each score of 7 and 8, 21% as score 9 and 10% as score 10. The highest level of PSA seen is in signet ring cell carcinoma. CONCLUSIONS In the present study, conventional adenocarcinoma was the commonest type of prostatic carcinoma. Gleason's score 8-10 of Gleason's grading system was the commonest score of the patients with adenocarcinoma of prostate.
Technically, carrying out Spinal Anaesthesia in adults, may not pose much problems, because of patient co-operation, but same is not always so in case of toddlers and children, because of inherent fear of Hospital atmosphere, detachment from parents, immaturity and other. This study aims at performing Spinal Anaesthesia, in children, if they are pre-medicated, and pre-subdued, might pave way for the comfort of both patient and Anesthesiologists. So, pre-medicated, pre-subdued Spinal Technique may be cheaper, safer alternative to General Anaesthesia. In our Observational study, results are satisfactory, with no occurrence of described complications, and study needs to be done in large number of cases.
