T uberculosis of the craniocervical junction is rare even where the condition is endemic. It poses problems in both diagnosis and management. We describe 25 cases followed over a period of 12 years, and relate the presentation, diagnosis and management. Of our 25 patients 16 were managed conservatively and nine by surgery. In order to diagnose this condition a high index of suspicion and advanced imaging techniques are necessary. Early diagnosis and adequate treatment led to good results without fatal complications.

Tuberculosis has become a rare disease in the developed countries but it is still a serious problem in the developing countries. Incidence of tuberculous osteomyelitis of the jaw bones is very low. This rare incidence is the primary reason that the lesion gets misdiagnosed many times. Here we report the diagnosis, treatment and follow up of a case which is not a classical presentation of tuberculous osteomyelitis of mandible. Early diagnosis of tuberculous osteomyelitis will certainly reduce the morbidity of this disease condition.
Nasal tuberculosis is a rare clinical entity even in developing countries where tuberculosis of respiratory tract is extremely high. It becomes more difficult to diagnose if it presents with symptoms which are not commonly associated with nasal tuberculosis. Here we report the diagnosis, treatment and follow up of a rare case of primary nasal tuberculosis of olfactory groove region. Early diagnosis and timely treatment will certainly reduce the morbidity of this disease.
