Spontaneous subcapsular liver hematoma is rare but potentially life-threatening complication of pregnancy usually associated with severe preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome (hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, and low platelets). We present here a case of such a large spontaneous liver hematoma presenting in pregnancy, but without other known associated abnormalities, which has not been described before and it resolved on itself without any intervention.

The age of first appearance varies from 3 to 48 years. Conventional angiography is considered as the gold standard for the diagnosis. Case Presentation:A 21 year old female presented with complaints of pain and tingling sensation in both upper limbs, more on the left. There was past history of mild exertional dyspnea and dizziness 9 months back. On clinical examination, she was afebrile, heart rate was 86 bpm. Blood pressure was 160/62 mmHg in the right arm, 74/50 mmHg in the left arm, 130/60 mmHg in the right leg, and 122/60 mmHg in the left leg. The fate of neonates with necrotizing enterocolitis is variable, with colonic strictures being one rare phenomenon after the insult. We describe here two infants with colonic strictures, which developed secondary to neonatal necrotizing enterocolitis. Infants recovered or in the process of recovery after it should be investigated for possibility of development of colonic strictures.
