The search for neutral, low-dimensional conducting materials1 2 has kindled interest in the preparation and study of heterocyclic thiazyl radicals;3•4 recent attention has been focused on 1,2,3,5dithiadiazolyls I.5 678These planar seven-rr-electron radicals are known to associate in the solid state in one of two modes, i.e., 2
A high luminance inorganic electroluminescent (iEL) blue phosphor, europium doped Mg x Ba 1-x Al 2 S 4 , has been developed on iFire substrates using dual source electron beam evaporation. The color performance is L 60 >200 cd/m 2 with CIE x, ycoordinates 0.135 and 0.105, respectively, using a 120Hz bipolar pulsed square wave form. Partial substitution of magnesium for barium lowers the annealing temperature of BaAl 2 S 4 phosphor for crystallization, which is an important parameter for fabricating large size inorganic EL devices for such applications as large screen television.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
