One way to commemorate the legacy of an intellectual —in this case, that of the historian Elías Serra Ràfols— is to reflect on the imprint of his contribution and probe his presence today, when five decades have passed since his death. There are many ways to verify his impact as a researcher in historiography and the validity of many of his postulates, contributions, methodology, human values... We have opted, as a complement to the article by Blanca Divassón and Javier Soler, for a questionnaire submitted to the opinion of a varied list of young historians, because they are the ones who have in their hands the present and the medium-term future of historiographical work on the Canary Islands.
