The Mudskipper (P. barbarus) lives in intertidal mud flats and it becomes an indicator of water quality. The transformation of construction and water pollution in this area is important to investigate due to interaction of fishery industry, home residence, and market area surrounding areas. The aim of this research was to analyze the characteristic of Von Bertalanffy growth, allometric, condition index, and mortality of the P. barbarus in KKMB, Tarakan city. The research was designed by using descriptive quantitative method. The sampling process used purposive sampling. The sampling was conducted for 12 times plot.transect-1 in the extension area of KKMB, Tarakan city with a total area is 12 Ha, plot.transect-1area is 10x10 m2, and distance between each transect is 10 m2. Sampling was carried out in survey area and laboratory to identify the gender and calculate total length and weight. The result showed the growth of male mudskipper (L∞ = 26.545 cm) and female (L∞ = 17.594 cm). Their size and the total population was decreased. The characteristic of male mudskipper growth was positive allometric, then female was negative allometric. The natural mortality and the catch of male mudskipper were higher than female.
The city of Tarakan, Indonesia, benefits economically from abundant marine biological resources, one of which is the layur fish, known commercially as ribbonfish. The purpose of this study was to analyze the growth character of the layur fish (Lepturacanthus savala) obtained from the juata waters of Tarakan City. The method of this quantitative and descriptive study was to analyze the growth of layur fish Lepturacanthus savala in the Juata waters off the coast from the city of Tarakan. Body shape, length, weight, and ratio sex data were collected from sites selected by the purposive sampling method based on trawl fishing catch. Secondary data, collected from interviews of fishing personnel, included the number of catches using trawling gear and trawl fishing location. The length ranges of male from 20,4 to 54,0 cm with an average length of 37,2±16.8 cm (n = 255) and the length ranges of female from 20,5 to 68 cm with an average length of 44,25±23.75 cm (n = 275). The results showed that maximum length of male layur fish was smaller than the maximum length of female fish, which were 59.352 cm at 267 d and 72.638 cm at 315 d, respectively. The result shows a negative allometric growth pattern male and female layur fish was found to be the same and sex ratio of male to female has a ratio of 1,0: 1,8 with a percentage of males at 48.11% and females at 51.89%. The majority of male and female fish exhibited a thin body shape (51,4% of male and 52% of female).
Taman Wisata Perairan Gili Matra merupakan kawasan yang mempunyai nilai ekonomi dan kualitas ekologi yang sangat besar. TWP Gili Matra juga digunakan sebagai sumber penghidupan bagi masyarakat setempat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui nilai ekonomi total ekosistem terumbu karang dan mangrove di TWP Gili Matra menggunakan metode TEV (Total Economic Value) yang terdiri dari analisis nilai guna langsung menggunakan metode effect on production (EoP) dan travel cost method (TCM), nilai guna tidak langsung menggunakan metode replacement cost dan contingent valuation method (CVM), nilai pilihan menggunakan benefit transfer. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai kegunaan langsung yang meliputi nilai kegunaan sebagai perikanan tangkap sebesar Rp151.130.418/ ha/tahun, nilai kegunaan sebagai penyedia jasa wisata sebesar Rp1.102.165.479/tahun. Nilai kegunaan tidak langsung meliputi nilai kegunaan sebagai pelindung pantai sebesar Rp9.569.065.000/tahun, nilai kegunaan sebagai serapan karbon sebesar Rp150.378,54/tahun serta sebagai nilai kegunaan sosial budaya sebesar Rp4.460.856.979/tahun. Selanjutnya sebagai nilai pilihan untuk penyedia keanekaragaman hayati yaitu untuk ekosistem mangrove sebesar Rp3.043.593.225/tahun serta terumbu karang sebesar Rp10.821.883.500/tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai ekonomi tersebut mempunyai manfaat dan fungsi yang penting sebagai sumberdaya ekonomi maupun ekologi bagi masyarakat maupun pemerintah. Oleh karena itu keberadaan TWP Gili Matra harus tetap dipelihara sebagai aset pembangunan wilayah. Pengendalian dan pengawasan dalam pemanfaatan sumberdaya terumbu karang dan mangrove dapat dilakukan secara terpadu antara pemerintah, masyarakat dan sektor swasta agar ketersediaan sumberdaya terumbu karang dan mangrove di TWP Gili Matra tetap terjaga. This result showed that the economic value gives important benefits and functions as economic and ecological resources for society and government. Therefore, it is necessary to preserve the existence of TWP Gili Matra as an asset of regional development. Integrated control and monitoring among government, community and private sector in its utilization will ensure the availability of coral reef and mangrove resources in TWP Gili Matra.

The objective of this research was to analyze the growth and mortality model of giant prawns (M. rosenbergii) that was taken from the catch of fisherman in the estuary, Sembakung sub-district, Nunukan Regency, Indonesia. The study was conducted for 3 months from November 2019 to Janu- ary 2020. The sampling was by using a survey method with purposive judgment sampling based on a catch of 14 fishermen who used the bottom fish pot from Sembakung waters, Nunukan Regency (Indonesia). The data collection included data of sex, total length, and the total weight of giant prawns. While analysis was employed for growth pattern, condition index, Von Bertalanffy growth, and mor- tality. The results obtain the sex ratio of male and female giant prawns 1:3.67. The growth pattern of male and female giant prawns were allometric negative. The growth of the von Bertalanffy model for infinitive growth of male giant prawns were 21.219 cm and female were 18.42 cm, respectively the mortality from giant prawns obtain total male mortality is 2,257, catch mortality is 1.92 and natural mortality is 33.75% with an exploitation rate of 0.85 (85%). The total female mor- tality is 1.528, catch mortality is 120.1% and natural mortality is 32.69% with an exploitation rate of 0.786 (78.6%).
Kabupaten Alor merupakan salah satu kabupaten di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur yang memiliki potensi obyek wisata alam yang beragam, termasuk wisata alam bahari yang dapat mendukung perekonomian masyarakat Alor. Jumlah wisatawan yang mengunjungi kabupaten Alor pada tahun 2017 mengalami peningkatan sekitar 56% dari tahun sebelumnya. Dilihat dari banyaknya jumlah wisatawan yang mengunjungi Kabupaten Alor, maka diperlukan adanya penelitian terkait dengan pengaruh obyek wisata terhadap perekonomian masyarakat Alor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak ekonomi langsung kegiatan wisata, dampak tidak langsung, serta dampak ekonomi lanjutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis multplier effect dengan menggunakan. data primer dan sekunder. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan bantuan kuesioner terstruktur dan wawancara responden, terdiridari 50 wisatawan, 21 pengusaha bidang wisata bahari dan 11 tenaga kerja/karyawan dari unit usaha terkait wisata bahari. Lokasi penelitian yaitu Daerah Kalabahi, ibukota Kabupaten Alor sebagai sentrawisata bahari. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dampak ekonomi langsung yang diperoleh dari kegiatan wisatawan di Kalabahi sebesar Rp480.000.000 per tahun dan dampak ekonomi tidak langsung yang diperoleh dari kegiatan wisatawan di Kalabahi sebesar Rp201.600.019 per tahun, serta dampak ekonomi lanjutan kegiatan wisata bahari di Kalabahi sebesar Rp20.250.000 per tahun. Nilai Keynesian Income Multiplier yang diperoleh sebesar 1,72 yang artinya setiap terjadi peningkatan pengeluaran wisatawan sebesar 1 rupiah, maka akan berdampak terhadap peningkatan pendapatan tenaga kerja dan para pemilik unit usaha di lokasi wisata diduga sebesar 1,72 rupiah. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan wisata bahari di Kabupaten Alor memberikan dampak ekonomi positif dan cukup besar terhadap masyarakat Kabupaten Alor. It offers a variety of natural tourist attraction including marine tourism which might support the economy of the people of Alor. The number of tourists visiting Alor Regency in 2017 has increased by around 56% from the previous year. Considering the large number of tourists visiting Alor Regency, research is needed to estimate the impact of marine tourism activities on the economy of Alor community. This study aims to analyze the direct, indirect, and continued economic impacts. This study used a multiplier effect analysis to analyze primary and secondary data. Data were collected by structured questionnaires and interview with 50 tourists, 21 entrepreneurs of marine tourism, and 11 workers from business units related to marine tourism. Research location is located in Kalabahi Region, the capital of Alor Regency as a marine tourism center.The analysis showed that the direct economic impact from tourist activities in Kalabahi amounted to IDR.480,000,000 per year and the indirect economic impacts from tourist activities in Kalabahi amountedto IDR 201,600,019 per year, as well as the continued economic impact of marine tourism activities in Kalabahi amounted to IDR 20,250,000 per year. The Keynesian Income Multiplier is 1.72, which means that if there is an increase in tourist spending by 1 IDR, it will have an impact on increasing labor income and business unit owners in tourist sites at about 1.72 IDR. This shows that marine tourism activities in Alor Regency have a positive and significant economic impact on the people of Alor Regency. In the future, it is necessary for Alor government and marine ecotourism entrepreneurs to create tour packages in Alor to increase the length of stay in Alor. Therefore, it will increase the economic impact of marinetourisme on the economy of the local community in Kalabahi, Alor.
