This contribution in a cross section way focused on the analytical determination of practical capacity of main tracks and the issue of the required capacity in the context of the comparison of national methodology used by the ŽSR and the recommended international UIC methodology. Methodology for the calculation of permeable performance within the national conditions is stipulated by ŽSR´s regulation-D24, the methodology within the international conditions for members of the UIC railway union is recommended by UIC Code 406. Both of presented methodologies have their pros and cons, which are consistently derived from this text.
The paper focuses on modular conveyors, mainly dedicated for the transport of parcel goods of various properties. Accent will also be put to their use in processes where the belt's resistance to higher temperatures or to mechanical damage is required. The solution is aimed on the use for installation in larger transport units, production as well assembly lines. The proposal of the conveyor design allows to handle different line sections (bends, broken sections, etc.) using a single drive. The conveyor track will be solved with aim to the transport of goods (products) by means of automated trolleys. A proposal for the synchronization of the conveyor track with an automated handling device will be presented, which will ensure the final phase of the production chain, the relocation of production to the warehouse of finished products. The authors will focus on the calculation of subsequent intervals for automated means of handling as well on determining the capacity of the conveyor track.
Planning the range of transport services in the selected geographical area is particularly relevant in the context of developing integrated transport systems. The aim is to build a sustainable public passenger transport system as an alternative to individual transport. Realizing quality and efficient transport services is a comprehensive process, though there are currently no applicable principles of its proposal and creation in terms of creating the appropriate range of railway infrastructure. The paper presents the general research results focused on solving the problems of transport services in the regional passenger railway transport. The gravity model allows the study of the dependence between the population in the adjacent area, the availability of stops and the length of the transport line. A part of the research is to adjust the inputs of this model to more accurately determine the range of railway infrastructure. Based on the research of the palette of railway lines, the necessary capacity of infrastructure in terms of ensuring the required number of trains in peak hours is adjusted. The output is a proposal of the session to the calculation of transport potential and subsequently its practical application. Finally, based on its resulting values, it is possible to adjust the transport concept to set up a more efficient and higher quality timetable.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
