On the basis of the appreciation of System Thinking, it is possible to carry out a system design using the tenets of System Engineering. Identifying the type of system being designed, defining the system in closed‐loop design terms, specifying the need, requirements generation, partitioning, interface issues, test and evaluation, and applying SE principles to a project are covered in this article.
