Large-scale plasma was created in gas mixtures containing methane using high-power laser-induced dielectric breakdown (LIDB). The composition of the mixtures corresponded to a cometary and/or meteoritic impact into the early atmosphere of either Titan or Earth. A multiple-centimeter-sized fireball was created by focusing a single 100 J, 450 ps near-infrared laser pulse into the center of a 15 L gas cell. The excited reaction intermediates formed during the various stages of the LIDB plasma chemical evolution were investigated using optical emission spectroscopy (OES) with temporal resolution. The chemical consequences of laser-produced plasma generation in a CH-N-HO mixture were investigated using high resolution Fourier-transform infrared absorption spectroscopy (FTIR) and gas selected ion flow tube spectrometry (SIFT). Several simple inorganic and organic compounds were identified in the reaction mixture exposed to ten laser sparks. Deuterated water (DO) in a gas mixture was used to separate several of the produced isotopomers of acetylene, which were then quantified using the FTIR technique.

Higher injury rates among children is a significant post-COVID-19 phenomenon. This paper focuses on injury frequency in pre-school, as well as in younger school-age children, and maps the approaches used by families to prevent injuries and ensure child safety in the Czech Republic. The aim of the survey was to determine what types of serious injuries prevail among children, how parents or grandparents evaluate the awareness of children toward dangerous situations, and what opinions and preferences they have regarding educating their children about health and safety. The questionnaire survey among parents and grandparents (N = 278) of children from birth to the age of 12 was conducted at educational events for the wider public in 2017–2019. The survey showed that head injuries (27%) are prevalent among pre-school children; however, in children older than 5 years, injuries are due to increased outdoor activity and tend to be more associated with sports and leisure activities (fractures 31%, burns 23%). Most respondents considered their children to be more likely to recognize life-threatening risks, which is worrying in the context of the rising number of injuries in the Czech Republic in recent years.
This contribution deals with the Simulation of manufacturing systems. Plant simulation is a modern instrument for optimizing factory production; however, the initial investment is high, especially for human resources, since the creation of a simulation model requires a lot of data from manufacturing, which needs to be analyzed and used as input into the simulation so that the simulation model is as close as possible to the real manufacturing system. Simulation enables changes to first be carried out in the simulation model and the defining of possible problems, through which in this case it is possible to avoid when introducing changes into an operation. The measure of effectiveness of using inputs is the productivity of a manufacturing system, and the aim of organization management is to monitor, analyze and improve a manufacturing system through optimizing for the purpose of increasing its efficiency, ensuring higher quality and a higher volume of production, shortening supply time in the scope of transportation, improving logistics and increasing the profitability of the given organization.
