Abstract:The rapidly growing interest from both academics and practitioners in the application of big data analytics (BDA) in supply chain management (SCM) has urged the need for review of up-to-date research development in order to develop a new agenda. This review responds to the call by proposing a novel classification framework that provides a full picture of current literature on where and how BDA has been applied within the SCM context. The classification framework is structurally based on the content analysis method of Mayring (2008) techniques are employed to develop these models? The discussion tackling these four questions reveals a number of research gaps, which leads to future research directions.
On the background of an online/offline dual channel, this paper studies contract coordination of centralized and decentralized dual-channel closed-loop supply chains. With the feature of recycle rate fluctuation, we develop a revenue-sharing mechanism by taking the relationship between the recycle rate and the recycle revenue sharing ratio into consideration. After comparing of centralized decision and the manufacturing led decentralized decision, the optimal online/offline price, wholesale price and advertising investment are derived. The influence of revenue sharing ratio in forward and reverse channels on the online/offline prices and wholesale prices is discussed. The numeric example is used for observing the relationship between variables, and between the optimal profit and variables through analysis of changing parameter valuations.
User resistance is a complex phenomenon long viewed as a major constraint in successful information technology implementation. User resistance, which can vary between passive and active, could be a source of guidance towards reducing problems associated with organisational change. However, rather than embracing user resistance and seeing it as a learning opportunity and a tool for managing current and future difficulties around user resistance, organisations fear it. There exist a wide literature on user resistance spanning decades; focusing separately on user resistance, and various related factors. However, there is no comprehensive overview of the research work published. This study presents a comprehensive literature review to gain a better understanding of the contents of the current user resistance literature. Based the findings from the literature review, areas of concern and the impact of user resistance on the development of new information technology are identified and how to overcome the resistance is suggested.
Purpose -The purpose of this study is to provide implementation insights and implications regarding the strategic orientations of servitization by testing its impacts on firm performance, including financial performance and customer service performance.Design/methodology/approach -Empirical research is conducted using an online survey disseminated to manufacturing firms in southeast China. This research develops and verifies a strategic fit framework to understand the relationship between the strategic orientation of servitization and service innovation, and its resulting impacts on firm performance.Findings -The results show that service orientation has direct positive impacts on firm performance in the manufacturing sector. Customer orientation and learning orientation have no direct impact on firm performance, although they have indirect impacts on it via the mediating role of service innovation capability. Moreover, service orientation has a similar indirect impact on firm performance via service innovation capability.Research limitation/implications -The survey focuses only on China; future studies should verify whether different cultural backgrounds impact the research results.Practical implications -The results suggest that firms should build up three strategic orientations (service orientation, customer orientation, and learning orientation) for implementing servitization to facilitate service innovation capability and thus to improve firm performance.2 Originality/value -This research contributes to enhancing the theory of servitization by developing a strategic fit model of servitization and revealing the impact mechanism of servitization in the manufacturing sector.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
