This article aims to offer an approach to derive Nusantara values into research methodology. Through substantive tenets (kaidah substantif) proposed by Mulawarman, methodology to construct variety of methods are put forward. There are three steps that must be taken to ensure that Paradigma Nusantara's tenets can become integral with research results, thus producing new or renewed Nusantara science. Paradigma Nusantara methodology will ensure that knowledge will be built upon strongly-believed values which cater creativity and freedom that will lead to decolonization of science. Examples of Paradigma Nusantara methodologies, both which have been executed and can be considered to be put to use are proposed in this article. Pengembangan terhadap Ujian Online Bahasa Indonesia dalam bentuk esai masih terus dilakukan sampai sekarang guna memperoleh nilai akurasi yang lebih baik dalam memberikan suatu penilaian. Penilaian yang sudah ada saat ini masih menggunakan kemiripan kata pada teks kunci jawaban dan teks jawaban. Cara tersebut memiliki kelemahan mengingat kata dengan tulisan berbeda dapat memiliki makna yang sama. Masalah tersebut dapat diatasi menggunakan skema vektor konsep. Vektor konsep bekerja pada level makna dari sebuah kata. Skema vektor konsep ini dapat diimplementasikan salah satunya menggunakan metode Explicit Semantic Analysis (ESA). Metode ESA memerlukan sebuah korpus yang besar, penelitian ini akan menggunakan korpus dari Artikel Wikipedia Indonesia. Dengan menggunakan metode ESA proses penilaian akan dilakukan dengan membandingkan kemiripan makna dari teks kunci jawaban dengan teks jawaban. Pengujian dilakukan dengan membandingkan 400 teks jawaban soal esai online dengan kunci jawabannya. Dari hasil pengujian tersebut didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa nilai percentage error metode ESA adalah 65%, di mana angka tersebut merupakan probabilitas error yang terlalu tinggi. Pengujian lain yang dilakukan adalah dengan membandingkan nilai percentage error metode ESA dengan metode lain seperti Cosine Similarity, Euclidean Distance, dan Jaccard yang memberikan konklusi bahwa metode ESA tidaklah lebih akurat dari metode-metode lain tersebut.
The hard facing process is the welding process of SMAW by using a hard facing DIN 888 electrode as a hard facing to replace conventional cutting tool material. The purpose of this analysis is to determine the effect of preheating temperature on the welding of hard coatings on AISI A35 low carbon steel. The results of this study are expected to obtain optimum hardness on coated steel, from variations in the temperature of the preheating. there will be a change in the hardness of the welding deposit, the deposit will be used as cutting tools. The results of this study can be used as guidelines for making cutting tools.
The problems faced are aluminium (Al) waste from industries that damage the environment and scarcity of Al raw materials that need to be recycled from used Al. The research objective was to determine the effect of adding magnesium (Mg) to used Al casting on the tensile strength and microstructure and to determine the comparison of the tensile strength of the Al material used by the piston to the brake lining and drum of motorcycles. The research method includes casting Al used pistons, brake lining and drum, testing the tensile strength and microstructure due to the addition of 0.1; 0.2; 0.5 and 1.0% by weight Mg to the tensile strength and microstructure. The results showed that the addition of Mg 0.5% by weight could increase the tensile strength of 92.96% from 71 MPa to 137 MPa for brake lining as the optimum value which further decreased the tensile strength by 19.7% at the addition of 1% Mg to 110 MPa. Drum material also experienced an increase in tensile strength of 33.71% from 89 MPa to 119 MPa as the optimum value where the tensile strength decreased by 5.88% for the addition of 1% Mg to 112 MPa. The two values of the tensile strength of the brake lining and drum components are lower than those of the piston component valued at 147 MPa, and with the addition of Mg, Mg2Si is formed which can reduce the porosity of the microstructure, thereby increasing its strength.
