Abstract:The Municipality of Mentawai Islands is the only regency in West Sumatra Province in a form of islands which has different regional characteristics with other cities and regencies in the province. It consists of a small and large group of 99 islands surrounded by the Indian Ocean. The distance between the Municipality of Mentawai Islands and the provincial capital of Padang is about 62 nautical miles. Sea and air transports become main transportation. However, sea transport is often used rather than air transport. The only route of air transport is from Rokot to Padang and otherwise using small plane (Susi Air). Based on the results of the research, the transportation costs to experience the significant resources of Mentawai Islands with its natural scenery and underwater beauty is expensive due to the inadequate of transportation accessibility.

Bogor is popular for its tourist destinations among visitors. With the increasing number of domestic tourist arrivals, especially from the surrounding areas and Bogor itself, the availability of adequate public transportation is a must to support the tourism industry in the city. However, tourists prefer to use private vehicles for a visit that contributes to the increasingly severe traffic jams, especially in tourist destinations. This study aims to identify the preferences of tourist groups of public transport users and find out what factors drive them to use public transport in tourist areas. This study took place in Bogor Botanical Gardens and collected questionnaires from 401 respondents, meanwhile statistical analysis used was non-parametric chi-square test and confirmatory factor analysis. The result shows demographic factors affect the preferences of the use of public transportation, the difference in the level of satisfaction of tourists group of public transport users (regular users, infrequent users, and low users) to public transportation services in Bogor, and the similarity of main factors driving each group of tourists to use public transportation to do tourist activities in Bogor.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan tuntunan kepada pilot atau penerbang pada saat melakukan pendekatan menuju landasan sehingga dengan adanya Precision Approach Light System dan Airfield Lighting System, sebelum melakukan pendaratan dan berbagai prosedur landing, pilot atau penerbang terlebih dahulu harus melihat lokasi bandara secara visual, termasuk posisi runway dan semua itu tidak mungkin bisa dilakukan dengan baik tanpa adanya Airfield Lighting System untuk dapat menjamin pelayanan keamanan dan keselamatan penerbangan, maka seluruh fasilitas elektronika dan listrik harus memiliki kualitas yang memadai baik ditinjau dari aspek teknis maupun aspek operasional. Metode penelitian ini merupakan studi literatur dengan membandingkan beberapa teori yang ada, penelitian sebelumnya. Hasil temuan manfaat dari alat bantu pendaratan visual di airport adalah untuk memberikan tuntutan kepada pilot atau penerbang saat melakukan pendaratan menuju landasan dan manfaatnya untuk ketepatan pendaratan pesawat udara. Solusi untuk mengindari kecelakaan harus perawatan secara rutin terhadap perawatan empat belas instrumen atau varian cahaya. Masing-masing mempunyai peran vital dan makna khusu untuk mendukung kelancaran proses pendaratan. Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan, bahwa Melalui metode pendekatan teknis deskriptif kualitatif dalam melakukan analisis pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan adanya alat bantu visual di landasan sangat berguna untuk keselamatan pesawat saat mendarat.
