Purpose: The designation of the Gunungsewu UNESCO Global Geopark has implications for the development of various tourism destinations. This article seeks to reveal how the development of the Gunungsewu geopark in Gunungkidul district as a tourism destination. Methods: This study uses a qualitative method. The data used were descriptive data, with in-depth analysis. Collecting samples through proportional sampling, the selection of samples depends on the purpose of the study without regard to the ability of a generalist. Results: The level of development of tourism destinations in mountain geoparks varies based on Butler's classification of tourism destination development. Determination of an area with unique geomorphology cannot simultaneously lift the entire area into a tourist destination. Limitation: This study focuses on developing a geosite seen as a tourism destination. This study emphasizes observing the development of tourism destinations using the “Tourism Area Life Cycle” approach proposed by Butler (1980). Contribution: This research is expected to benefit the development of tourism science and geoparks in Indonesia. Conclusion: Species diversity in the Protection Report Diary (in 2010) was higher compared to the total number of wildlife species sighted by visitors (in 2021) and during the patrol (in 2020) indicating that some wildlife species in LCC declined within 10 years.
This research aims to examine the positive impact of local wisdom on environmental sustainability and tourism development. In this study, a qualitative approach was conducted through observations and interviews. This research has conducted the analysis using a descriptive ethnographic approach to reveal the meaning behind the local wisdom. The results show that being part of the UNESCO Global Geopark has special meaning for Gunung Sewu in Java, Indonesia. Geoparks are concerned with conserving and developing geological diversity and aiming to develop and conserve the cultures within them. Pitu village preserves local wisdom, one of which is the seven-family restriction. Local wisdom in this village is closely related to limited natural conditions. Kampung Pitu is located at the top of Mount Nglanggeran, and no more than seven families can live here because they have taboos or rules from the past. All the local wisdom carried out by the people of Kampung Pitu was based on preserving nature and the entire community's safety. The preservation of heritage will provide uniqueness and attract tourists on its own.
Busung Village is located in Bintan Regency and has a viral attraction: A Desert and Telaga Biru. This tourism destination managed by the local community called Kelompok Sadar Wisata, now become an interesting natural attraction. Referring to the Bintan Government Regulation Number 1 of 2020 about the Regency Spatial Planning Policy, Busung Village is the part of Industrial Area. Meaning that the Desert and Telaga Biru are located inside the industrial area. To develop a tourism destination is not only to develop the 4A, Attraction, Accessibility, Amenity, and Ancillary Services only, but it needed a site suitability evaluation. This research aims to evaluate of site suitability of Busung Village based on ecotourism criteria. The other purpose is to provide development guidance for Busung village in the future. This research is using the mixed method, the quantitative is used to evaluate the site's suitability for ecotourism. To explain the ecotourism suitability index using the descriptive method. Data were analyzed by spatial analysis and software Geographic Information System (GIS). The result showed that the ecotourism suitability index for sample I is 71,34% and for sample II is 70,12%. All samples in the S2 category mean that areas are suitable for ecotourism. Based on the spatial map, the development guidance for the Desert and Blue Lake area is 18,49 hectares for ecotourism activity.
Penelitian ini memfokuskan pada peran Dinas Kebudayan dan Pariwisata Kota Tanjungpinang. Dalam penelitian ini yang merupakan objek dan lokasi penelitian ini adalah Pulau Penyengat. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dan data sekunder, dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam. Dari hasil penelitian ini, ditemukan beberapa fenomena terkait dengan penelitian yang ditemukan setelah melakukan penelitian ini, yaitu: a). Sumber Daya Manusia Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kota Tanjungpinang yang mempunyai kewenangan merencanakan dan melaksanakan serta pengawasan terhadap pengelolaan wisata budaya pulau penyengat yang sesuai dengan Peraturan Daerah Kota Tanjungpinang Nomor 08 Tahun 2018 tentang Pengelolaan Wisata Budaya Pulau Penyengat, namun dalam pelaksananya masi minim aparatur yang kompetensi di bidang wisata budaya. b) Sosialisasi perlunya upaya yang maksimal yang dilakukan oleh Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kota Tanjungpinang agar masyarakat pulau penyengat bisa mendapatkan informasi terkait pengelolaan wisata budaya pulau penyengat. Namun dalam pelaksanaanya masi banyak masyarakat yang belum mengetahui tentang Peraturan Daerah Kota Tanjungpinang Nomor 8 Tahun 2018 tentang Pengelolaan Wisata Budaya Pulau Penyengat. c). Lingkungan menjadi pengaruh dari kondisi lingkungan eksternal di Dalam pengelolaan wisata budaya pulau penyangat menjadi pengaruh yang besar. Hal ini terlihat dari masi banyak masyarakat pulau penyengat yang kurang peduli terhadap kebijakan tersebut
