A textbook is the main source of learning in many universities, yet there are only a few studies which specifically evaluate accounting textbook. This research aimed to evaluate the accounting textbooks used in some Indonesian universities and is expected to provide recommendations of accounting textbooks which are potential to develop students' critical thinking ability. This study was a content analysis. The analysis was based on the Bloom's taxonomy as well as the indicators of contextual representation intensity level. The results demonstrated that critical thinking receives little attention, either in the components of learning objectives, practice exercises or the materials/main content. Accounting textbook written by foreign authors seems to have higher quality than those written by local authors. It is suggested that the accounting academicians in Indonesia collaborate with accounting practitioners to develop a better quality textbook by adapting the superiorities of textbooks written by foreign authors and eliminating the weakness.
The emergence of the Corona-19 Virus Disease Pandemic encourages the importance about socialization about health educating and raising public awareness about clean and healthy lifestyles. The community needs to know how to avoid Covid-19 so that it does not becomean epidemic in around Pandansari Lor Jabung Village, Malang Regency. The health education video is a practical tool that can be used to promote Covid-19 participation. The purpose of community service is talkable assistance that is easily understood and understood to be healthy and healthy living in Pandansari Lor Jabung Village, Malang Regency to encourage the outbreak of Covid-19. The activity stage was planned for 2 weeks, which was preceded by coordination and communication with the Pandansari Lor village. This socialization is presented in the form of a video which contains health education about clean and healthy lifestyles which contains sports tutorials (gymnastics) at home, hand washing tutorials according to standards of WHO (World Health Organization), tutorials on making and using disinfectants at home, and tutorials on making herbal medicine to increase body immunity. So that through the educational videos provided can be understood well by the community.
Since entering the 21st century, teachers have been required to have ICT knowledge and skills and then are required to be able to fully integrate them into online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Having ICT knowledge and skills can certainly increase the pedagogical and professional competence of teachers. This study focuses on describing the efforts of teachers to develop their social and personality competencies in online teaching at the vocational high school level in the area of East Java, Indonesia. This study found that the problems that were found when teaching online had more negative impacts on the social competence and personality of the teacher so that the teacher's efforts to develop social and personality competencies were heavier than developing pedagogic and professional competencies. Finding solutions to overcome these problems is a new challenge for teachers to develop their social and personality competencies. The efforts made by accounting teachers are teachers trying to control emotions, maintaining attitudes and actions following applicable norms and religion, and not violating the teacher's code of ethics. The teacher also tries to be more concerned with the development of their students, monitoring their work, and the attitudes and behavior of their students. Besides, teachers are also not tried to encourage their students to continue learning. This research is sufficient to provide a discourse for accounting teachers in overcoming problems faced during online teaching, especially to develop social and personality competences.
