ABSTRAKPeranan peternak sapi untuk menawarkan sumber pangan berupa daging bagi masyarakat merupakan komoditi utama. Permasalahannya populasi ternak sapi cenderung mengalami penurunan. Salah satu faktor pertumbuhan populasi ternak sapi ditentukan oleh faktor pakan khususnya di musim kemarau. Ketersediaan pakan ternak yang berkesinambungan dan berkualitas baik merupakan syarat mutlak agar dapat meningkatkan produktivitas ternak sapi. Hal ini merupakan permasalahan yang dihadapi peternak sapi didesa Sangup. Peternak sangat bergantung pada pakan hijauan yang berlimpah pada musim penghujan, namun pada musim kemarau peternak kesulitan memperoleh pakan karena kurang mempersiapkannya. Selain itu pengetahuan dan keterampilan anggota kelompok Peternak tentang bagaimana mengolah daun hijauan dan limbah pertanian seperti jerami padi, daun jagung yang hanya di buang atau dibakar dan tidak dimanfaatkan untuk diolah menjadi pakan ternak untuk menjaga kesinambungan tersedianya pakan ternak di musim kemarau. Program Pengabdian ini bertujuan unruk memperbaiki produktivitas ternak melalui pemanfaatan teknologi mesin perajang hijauan dan pembuatan pakan ternak dengan teknik silase. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini meliputi penyuluhan, pelatihan praktik langsung pembuatan pakan. Output kegiatan ini adalah meningkanya pemahaman, pengetahuan dan keterampilan peternak tentang manajemen pakan ternak yang menunjang produktivitas sapi . Para anggota kelompok ternak memiliki keterampilan untuk membuat secara mandiri pengawetan pakan ternak dari hijauan untuk menjamin ketersedian pakan di musim kemarau.Kata kunci: mesin perajang rumput; manajemen pakan; tabungan pakan ternak; teknik silase. ABSTRACTThe role of cattle farmers as a source of food in the form of meat for society is the main commodity for them so that the supply of meat is maintained. The problem is that the cattle population tends to decrease. The slow growth of the cattle population is determined by external factors such as feed. supply of fodder for cattle, especially in the dry season. The availability of sufficient feed in terms of quality and quantity is absolutely necessary in order to increase the productivity of cattle. The obstacles faced by farmers in Sangup Village are the dependence of farmers on abundant forage feed in the rainy season, but during the dry season, farmers have difficulty getting feed. The lack of knowledge and skills of members of the farming community regarding the management of agricultural waste, such as rice straw, corn, or elephant grass, which are often thrown away or burned but can be used as quality feed in the dry season.This service activity aims to improve the productivity of cattle through the use of feed making technology using the silase technique. The methods used in this service activity include counseling and training in making feed. The output of this activity is the increase in knowledge and skills of farmers regarding livestock rearing systems in the aspect of feed management by applying grass chopping machine technology to support cattle farming. <p>Soil transmitted helminths (STH) infection is an infectious disease with a high prevalence,<br />especially in developing countries. More than 1.5 billion people or 24% of the world's population are infected with STH. Indonesia is one of 11 countries in Southeast Asia which are declared as endemic for STH infection. Data on the prevalence of STH infection in children in Indonesia is still quite high, namely 60-90%. Meanwhile, infections that occur continuously will reduce the quality of human resources, especially children. This study was conducted with the aim to determine the prevalence and level of STH infection in children of primary school age, and to find out whether there is a relationship between the prevalence and rate of STH infection with age and sex. This research was conducted in 5 State Elementary Schools (SD) located in Jakarta, Bekasi and Serang (Banten) in 2016. This study used analytical cross sectional method. Samples in the form of feces of students int he 5 state elementary schools. Stool samples collected were 61 from SDN Tanah Tinggi 01 Pagi<br />Central Jakarta, 57 from SDN Pondok Bambu 04 Duren Sawit East Jakarta, 57 from SDN 02 Bantar Gebang Bekasi, 52 from SDN Cikedokan 01 Kecamatan Cikarang Barat Bekasi and 55 from SDN Cakung Serang. The samples collected had fulfilled the inclusion criteria, aged 6-12 years, had agreed and signed the informed consent sheet. Exclusion criteria included taking worm medicine 6 months earlier and not collecting feces on a predetermined day. Examination of the sample was carried out by the Kato-Katz method. The results of this study indicate that, there is only one school that is positive for helminthiasis, while 4 other schools are negative. At SDN in Serang (Banten) 9 children were found infected with STH or prevalence was 16.4% with mild intensity. The types of STH found were Ascaris lumbricoides (68.75%), Trichuris trichiura (31.25%), and no eggs from Necator americanus. The highest frequency occurs in children aged 6-8 years. There is no significant relationship between the prevalence and rate of STH infection with age and sex.</p>
Dusun Karangnongko, Desa Ngloro, Kecamatan Saptosari, Kabupaten Gunung Kidul memiliki hasil panen jagung dan singkong yang berlimpah. Namun hasil panen ini belum diolah oleh masyarakat secara optimal. Dusun Karanongko memiliki potensi kewirausahaan, karena ada beberapa kelompok wanita tani yang sudah memiliki usaha kecil seperti olahan Kripik Tempe, namun belum ada kelompok usaha yang mengolah jagung. Pelaksanaan KKN PPM ini menggunakan metode ESD (Education for Sustainable Development). ESD adalah metode pembelajaran untuk mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan, yaitu jenis pembelajaran yang memberikan kesadaran jiwa wirausaha yang inovatif dan kreatif. Program yang dilakukan meliputi: 1) Ceramah tentang pentingnya kegiatan pasca panen, 2) penyuluhan untuk meningkatkan jiwa wirausaha, 3)Pelatihan dan praktik mengolah jagung menjadi eggroll, 4) Pelatihan Packaging /labelling sehingga kemasan menjadi lebih menarik dan memasarkan produk. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah tumbuhnya keasadaran keluarga berjiwa wirausaha yang mandiri, meningkatnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan kelompok wanita tani dalam mengolah makanan berbahan dasar jagung,terjalin kerjasama dengan UKM Putri 21 menjadi pemasok jagung dan singkong.
The hydraulic system is a system that works based on character and potential that exists in liquid. Maintenance is a work done in sequence to maintain or to improve existing facilities to comply with the standards. Nonconformities and limitations of tools and design concepts used by humans while working are still found in everyday life. The purpose of this research is to design the hydraulic portable device to facilitate the mechanics in car maintenance and repair especially a part of the bottom machine. The data collection is done by directly measuring the performance test of the portable hydraulic jack in Autocar Andi Jaya compared with the original jack. The conclusion of this research is a tool that has benefits in supporting the car when car service is performed. This tool generates the total number of completed car maintenance and repair outputs of 30 minutes of normal service completion compared to the ordinary j ack. Therefore, an electric portable hydraulic jack can speed up the performance of the mechanics and the results in improving productivity.
PG. Jatibarang Brebes is the first company directly under the BUMN (Badan Usaha Milik Negara) company. this is company produces sugar of Central Java region which is under PTPN IX. There are six stages in the process of producing sugar, namely the milling stage, purification stage, evaporation stage, crystallization stage, the stage of rotation and finishing. The last activity is the packaging of sugar into the sack of 50 kg carried by the operator who sits on a sack with irregular heights. Seen from the aspect of ergonomic seating position is not very suitable because sugar packaging operators work in an uncomfortable position. Therefore, it is necessary to design seats for ergonomic sugar packaging operators. The method used to design this chair is with the concept of ergonomics. The required data include anthropometric data of operator body size, operator complaint during work, packaging process time during work. Then the data is processed to be applied to the design. The design is a prototype which will be measured and compared the output results in the conditions before and after the design was applied. The standard of production output was increased from 384,6 sacks/hour to 454.5 sacks/hour (18,17%) after the new design chair has been applied
