Palm oil plant (Elaeis guineensis jacq) is one of the most popular plants in Indonesian plantation and also a species of the palm family. Harvesting process should obtain fresh fruit bunches at optimal ripeness. Some farmers are lack of ripeness knowledge and do not understand which color that represents optimal ripeness of palm fruit to harvest. Another issue on the scarcity of such system provides ripeness identification also encourage a study to develop an image-processing-based expert system. The aim of this study is to provide a tool for examining oil palm fruit ripeness level. Identification system consists of several image processing phases, namely image edge detection and feature value of the image to be calculated such as mean value, standard deviation, skewness, entropy, energy, homogeneity, contrast and intensity. In the proposed work, K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) is applied as a computation method which allows the system to classify data of ripeness level based on user-entered image. The output is the identification of the ripeness level of the oil palm fruit.
The design of the detection system in this study using ESP32 module that includes Wi-Fi: 802.11 b / g / n and Bluetooth: v4.2 BR / EDR and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). In general, the automatic door lock system using a fingerprint or RFID card in its implementation, but this study using BLE which is a component of iBeacon which has a function as a result of the fingerprint and RFID card. ESP32 have a duty to control the door lock in order to open and lock the door using relays and solenoid system, in addition to the BLE on ESP32 serves to detect the presence of individuals where Bluetooth Device Address (BD_ADDR) smartwatch or individual gadget is already registered on ESP32. Based on the experimental results, the system can detect a user's presence smartwatch on the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI), which is determined on the program was uploaded to ESP32. This system can also be developed in the future and applied to a variety of special purposes such as absenteeism, indoor mapping, and smart home.
Fakultas Ilmu Komputer dan Teknologi Informasi membutuhkan perkembangan teknologi dan komunikasi sangat membantu kinerja dan proses bisnis organisasi. Perkembanganya harus menghasilkan manfaat bagi Fakultas agar pelaksanaan akademik berjalan lancar, serta membantu organisasi dalam menjalankan proses bisnis yang dibutuhkan sehingga membantu pengelola organisasi mengambil keputusan. Perubahan bentuk proses bisnis yang digunakan dengan perkembangan teknologi dan komunikasi diharapkan mampu mendorong organisasi untuk memiliki pengelolaan yang lebih baik. Salah satu proses bisnis yang terjadi pada Fakultas Ilmu Komputer dan Teknologi Informasi adalah pengelolaan kegiatan praktek kerja lapangan (PKL). Pengelolaan kegiatan Praktek Kerja Lapangan di institusi ini masih menggunakan cara manual di sebagian proses bisnisnya. Mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan saat mendaftar disebabkan masih manual hingga tidak efisien dalam pelaksanaan PKL. sehingga manfaat dari perkembangan teknologi dan komunikasi tidak sepenuhnya terpakai. Peneliti bermaksud dan memandang perlu untuk mengembangkan sistem informasi Praktek Kerja Lapangan yang mendukung adminitrasi pendaftaran dan pendataan Mahasiswa PKL. Sistem telah diuji dimana Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu melakukan proses bisnis Praktek Kerja Lapangan dengan mudah tanpa harus menggunakan cara manual seperti registrasi untuk mengikuti PKL, menampilkan informasi yang dibutuhkan dalam kegiatan PKL, memanipulasi data yang digunakan yang akan digunakan dalam kegiatan PKL termasuk memudahkan pihak yang bersangkutan mudah dalam melaporkan jumlah Mahasiswa PKL dan mendapatkan informasi stakeholder yang mendukung atau lokasi yang pernah dituju oleh Mahasiswa PKL sebelumnya.
