An unprecedented catalytic system consisting of diselenides, Selectfluor and visible light has been developed for the one‐pot synthesis of oxazole acetals from N‐propargylamides and alcohols. This system shows the processes of cyclization, aromatization and acetalization, resulting in the construction of multiple carbon‐oxygen bonds. These transformations demonstrate the excellent compatibility of visible‐light promotion with organocatalytic oxidative carbon–oxygen bond formations using air as the terminal oxidant.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
